A molecular biology report for a patient named Mohammed Valeed showed a negative result for SARS-CoV-2 detection from a nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal swab sample via real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing. The report explained that coronaviruses can cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases. A negative result does not rule out infection and should be considered with the patient's clinical history and presentation. The report was signed by two consultant microbiologists.
