- 2. Rough Cut For our thriller opening sequence I came up with the idea of a girl with a passion for film. She is an outsider as she is constantly in her own world, imagining creating films and stories. After facing tons of rejection about her film ideas she starts to break down as her dreams have been crushed. Heading down a dark path, she decides to take matters into her own hands. She goes on a journey, following certain people she takes an interest in and makes them a character in her new film by drawing creepy sketches of them whenever she can, observing them and sculpting them. She relishes in this ability to make and change reality, however having such a broken, unstable mind along with the power of ‘playing God’ can have severe consequences.

- 4. Location Ideas Tiffany came up with the idea of perhaps using a train/train station as a possible location and we all agreed this location would be suited to when the girl is drawing her sketches of people. I also added that we should have a location in her home, perhaps a dark living room or bedroom where she sits in front of the TV as the light from the screen in a darkened room would create aesthetically pleasing silhouettes. And surrounded by old films, sketches and sculptures because this would be good to establish her lifestyle through mise-en- scène.
- 5. Editing/Shot Ideas I suggested we use a graphic match shot between the girl’s eye and a camera lens. I believe this would symbolise how her mind is lost to her love of film and like a camera lens her eyes are always observing and capturing moments of life. We all agreed on editing some scenes to overlap each other to mimic the effect of an old film roll and also represent how her mind feels, constantly flicking through ideas and emotions in a rapid chaotic way.
