The protagonist is a young man struggling with depression who wants to discover himself and help his family before leaving his hometown. He meets a girl who is also troubled, and must decide whether to open up to her about his problems or keep them private given their relationship will only be temporary. The film will follow the protagonist's perspective as he deals with alienation from others and seeks to find meaning in his life through his connection with the new girl, ultimately realizing their relationship cannot last. It will draw inspiration from films like Submarine, 500 Days of Summer, and It's Kind of a Funny Story through its unconventional love story and portrayal of mental illness.

2. Character What does he want?- He needs to discover himself, help his family and leave his hometown, get over his depression before it destroys his family. What has he done before the story started? – Suffered depression all his life for no reason. What impediments does he have?- alienated from everyone, doesn’t know what to do with his life anymore then he meets a girl more screwed up then himself.

What choices have to be made?- Tell her his problems or leave them to slowly eat away as he knows this is only a summer fling.

Not really along that sort of line, I think the cause will be there before the film starts and the event and consequence will all happen once he meets the girl. Classic – situation / reaction? Boy meets girl, fall in love, problems occur. Unexplained event or decisions? Her leaving him without saying anything about it. Parallel stories? A bit like “Its kind of a funny story” but not really. Flashback or time lapses? Possibly back to his childhood

8. miseWho will the camera follow most? The boy, the films from his perspective Handheld?- A little bit to do like running scenes Use of dark? Shadow? Lighting? Costume?- lots of use of shadows and dark costume, emphasis on red a lot.

9. Dialogue Voiceover is likely to say…?- If I choose to have one it will be the inner thoughts of the boy telling his side of the story. How much dialogue are you going to use?- I think there’s going to be a lot of silence and music in my film, but there will obviously be some dialogue since there has to be in order to move the story along. However in my trailer I will use very little.
