Rosa Parks was an important civil rights activist who fought against racial segregation. She refused to give up her bus seat to a white passenger in 1955, which led to the Montgomery Bus Boycott. The author admires Parks for standing up for equality and helping end racist policies that treated black and white people differently. Parks overcame many hardships in her life, including her father leaving at a young age and facing educational and social restrictions under Jim Crow laws. She served as a role model for standing up against injustice and inspired the author to do the same.

Rosa Parks - Kennedy C.
1. Rosa Parks My Hero
By: Kennedy Carver
Rosa Parks did a lot of things for people of color. Not just for her color,
but for everyone in the world. She showed everyone how much in common
we have with each other. I'm glad Rosa Parks stopped people from
thinking that black and white people are different. So I could have all the
great friends I have today.
Rosa Parks history was very rough. She lived in Alabama during 1913
to 2005. Her birth and death was amazing yet awful. She was born was on
February 4,1913. Her dad left her when Rosa Parks was about two and a
half years oldHer mom moved her and the family to Pine Level, Alabama
and, lived on her grandparents a farm. She grew up being restricted to do
what uncolored people could do, such as- having not to give up your bus
seat like colored people or, not being able to ride the school bus. Her
education Industrial School for Girls, and Alabama State Teachers Collage
for Colored.
What did Rosa Parks do to become a hero? I'm going to tell you the
events that happened. In the beginning, her mom and her family moved to
Pine Level, Alabama. Next, her mom taught Rosa Parks how to read. After
that, Rosa Parks got a second education. Then, in 1932 at the age of 19
Rosa Parks met and married Raymond Parks. Next, Raymond Parks died
on August 19,1977. In the end, Rosa Parks died on October 24,2005. She
showed that people black and white doesn't mean they are different than
us.
Why did I choose Rosa Parks as my hero? I chose Rosa Parks for a lot
of different reasons. She influenced me to stand up to get the rights that
we deserved. Now I can tell people to stop treating other people wrong.
They might be different but, we might have lots of thing in common.
That's how Rosa Parks stopped color less people from treating others
very wrong. She helped everyone in the world. Although she got arrested
she stopped the people from getting treated differently and, no one is
getting treated like this now. That's how Rosa Parks changed the world.
