WHAT IS CCE?
The term Continuous and Comprehensive
Evaluation (CCE) is used for school based
evaluation of pupils in which is also
comprehensive in nature, in the sense that it is
not confined to assessment in scholastic
subjects but also covers co- scholastic areas
such as performance in games/ sports,
physical education, creative education, art,
music, dance, drama, other cultural activities
and personal & social qualities.
CONCEPT OF CCE
 Continuous refers to regularity in
assessment.
Comprehensive refers to both
scholastic or co- scholastic areas of
pupil’s growth.
Evaluation expresses both qualitative
and quantitative description of child’s
development.
ACCORDING TO THE NATIONAL
CURRICULUM FRAMEWORK-
2005 (SCHOOL BASED CCE
SYSTEM)
• Reduce stress on children
•Make evaluation comprehensive and regular.
•Provide space for the teacher for creative
teaching.
•Provide a tool of diagnosis & remediation.
•Produce learners with greater skills.

Role of EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY in CCE

  • 2. WHAT IS CCE? The term Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) is used for school based evaluation of pupils in which is also comprehensive in nature, in the sense that it is not confined to assessment in scholastic subjects but also covers co- scholastic areas such as performance in games/ sports, physical education, creative education, art, music, dance, drama, other cultural activities and personal & social qualities.
  • 3. CONCEPT OF CCE  Continuous refers to regularity in assessment. Comprehensive refers to both scholastic or co- scholastic areas of pupil’s growth. Evaluation expresses both qualitative and quantitative description of child’s development.
  • 4. ACCORDING TO THE NATIONAL CURRICULUM FRAMEWORK- 2005 (SCHOOL BASED CCE SYSTEM) • Reduce stress on children •Make evaluation comprehensive and regular. •Provide space for the teacher for creative teaching. •Provide a tool of diagnosis & remediation. •Produce learners with greater skills.
