Rodolfo S. Cornejo was a notable Filipino composer and educator born on May 15, 1909, in Singalong, Manila, and passed away on August 11, 1991, in the U.S. He composed numerous pieces including military marches and concertos, and earned degrees in music composition, teaching at the University of the Philippines. During WWII, he served as a pianist-director for a concert unit, later held concerts in the U.S., and was appointed official composer by the Philippine government-in-exile.
