Risk Assessment for
Filming
Harry Isaacs
Glass and Liquids
 In my film I will be using drinks as a prop and since we
as a cast are implying that it is alcohol that we are
drinking, we therefore intend to use glass as it is
conventional for alcohol to be served in a glass when at
a bar. If there were to be an incident or a moment of
being clumsy, where the glass were to break, we would
have a health and safety hazard as stepping in glass
could cause serious injury to people as well as
domestic animals. It is important that we therefore have
a super-visor who can remind us to take caution, and
take control of the situation if anything was to happen.
Football
 There will be scenes where a football is used as recreational
activity, to represent the characters having a good time
outside. When filming this activity taking place, we must
remove all risk of the camera getting damaged as well as
the cast hurting themselves. In order to reduce the risks of
injuries, boots which are suitable for the particular surface
will be brought in order to keep the actors safe from slipping.
Any shots taken of the ball being kicked must be taken away
from which the direction of the ball is heading from a
sensible angle, in order to prevent the camera being
smashed by the ball.
Dark room
 The use of a pitch black room will be used as a metaphor for
the individuals fragile mental state as he tries to fight off and
gain control of his state. Filming in a completely dark room is
a great risk as it will be hard to see where you are going. In
order to prevent people tripping over and hurting
themselves, there will be a few things that will be put in
place in order to keep everyone safe:
 A person will be waiting at the lights to turn them off or on
 People will be required to be in their positions before the
lights go off
 Once the lights go out, there will be no walking
