The social role of graffiti of protesters of 2019د. صبا الياسري
Artistic achievements over time have links to the human being and his
basic needs. Freedom and demanding rights are among the most
important human needs. What happened in Tahrir Square in the centre
of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, was a cry of freedom and an expression
of my opinion with drawings simulating events. On political and social
life, close to the Monument of Freedom, youthful cartoons were
embodied in a peaceful manner that raises controversy through artistic
expressions in contemporary formulations that challenge reality. As a
result of repression and fear of losing documenting these drawings, the
study attempted to document this special period in the life of Iraq,
which demonstrated the culture of this generation and their awareness
of their rights and duties towards the homeland. It is evident in the
graffiti there is a cultural and artistic awareness and a clear interest in
the cultural heritage. Through analysing the models, there is a focus
on basic concepts indicating the maturity of the demonstrators and
their awareness by emphasizing the martyr through the icon of the
revolution (Safaa al-Saray) and the white shirt to denote peace and the
student majority for the revolution. The emergence of marginalized or
poor strata of society in the common struggle.

Explore the work behind eight boundary-defying Asian and Pacific Islander artists who flip the script on the all-too-common question, “where are you from?” to lay claim to the myriad identities that inspire their work.
Every year, creativity rises on the list of the most important skills as found in research by the World Economic Forum and LinkedIn. Creativity is key for businesses and for anyone looking to future proof their careers, including students are who’ve yet to start out.
In the face of this demand for creativity, the next generation must be equipped to imagine and create new possibilities and to embrace the creative spirit that makes us uniquely human. This is the drive behind the Adobe Creativity Scholarship—a college scholarship that provides young leaders around the world the opportunity to foster their creative skills—and one of the reasons we are so excited to announce the 2019 class of Adobe Creativity Scholars.
This slide was made for the in-class presentation of "Elements in Visual Arts and Approach to Art Criticism" course at HKBU Academy of Visual Arts, which was taught by Dr. Daniel Lau Chak-kwong in 2007. The topic is "Happenings", which I apply the performance-art creations by Kwok Mang-ho, Ching Chin-wai and Pak Sheung-chuen as examples.
