1. Risk Assessment
Undergo the filming of our Media production, there are several
risks we need to think about and make sure these are kept to a
minimum. Also the health and safety of others will be followed and
obeyed well, to make for a great and professional Music Video.
Illness or a member not being able to participate – if for some
reason I or another member of the group is ill, this could be a
major risk as all the planning would have to be postponed to
another later date, drawing us closer to our deadline, thus creating
more pressure on our Group. To keep this chance of a risk at a
minimum, back up actors shall be placed if needs be. This will
make sure we can film and make sure our time is consumed well.
Members letting us down – During the post production we need to
make sure our film members are reliable and trust worthy, we have
asked friends that we know meet this criterion.
The weather – As our Media production will be filmed in a garage
we don’t have to worry about the rain and other weather
interferences damaging equipment. But what we have to take into
account; if the wind is heavy and loud it will mess with the audio
sound and make that given recorded clip sound bad. If the rain is
heavy to it would bounce off the garage and make loud interfering
noises. These risks aren’t as crucial and threatening as others but
a risk is a risk and we have to take them all into account.
Breaking of equipment – A major risk to the whole production, if for
instance an item such as the: the camera or the tripod break or
have difficulties, this will set us back a few days, which is not what
we need, we need to make sure we handle the equipment with
caution and care.
Getting correct Props/Costumes – We have made sure in our
group that we know what we are using and how we dress,
planning this further ahead makes it easier for the group and
relives pressure on us, as we have other priorities in the filing
section, we need to stick to the correct props and costume. By
doing this is a blend with the whole ‘Metal Core’ theme well.
2. Health and Safety of the whole group – As we are filing in a
garage, what we have to make sure about is that nothing is loose,
creating less a risk of falling over, tripping, breaking equipment etc,
we will make sure that no nails, or lose toolbox items are placed
away in a safe location and are out of filming sight.
