- 2. Damage to Equipment Who/What is at risk? • Tripods, camera and lenses • If equipment breaks could lead to sharp edges (glass lenses) that could cut us. Precautions taken • Wear the camera strap when possible. • Keep all lenses in a closed box when not in use • Only place tripods on flat surfaces and attach cameras when stable
- 3. Slipping/tripping over Who/What is at risk? • Actors and cinematographer • Potential damage to equipment if tripped on Precautions taken • Keep all equipment in an organized area to the side of the room • Wear sensible shoes to minimize slipping on the wooden floor
- 4. Room Temperature Who/What is at risk? • Everyone • Potential damage to equipment Precautions taken • Bring a mini heater to warm the rooms we work in • Wear warm clothing were possible if not acting
- 5. Mini heater Who/What is at risk? • Can lead to overheating/fires if covered • Everyone • Potential damage to equipment Precautions taken • Ensure heater is never covered and wires are kept out the way • Turn off when room is warm enough
- 6. Stairs Who/What is at risk? • Everyone • Potential damage to equipment if dropped down stairs Precautions taken • Try not to film shots close to stairs in case of falling • If shots are filmed close to stairs have someone out of shot directing, being aware of stairs
- 7. Lights Who/What is at risk? • Everyone • Potential damage to equipment if bulbs overheat Precautions taken • Instead of using bulb lights we will use LED lighting, as it reduces heat
- 8. Animals Who/What is at risk? • Everyone including animals • Potential damage to equipment around animals Precautions taken • Use well trained animals that won't damage the equipment and won't attack anyone
