Staying safe while filming in busy urban areas requires being aware of your surroundings at all times. Look where you are going when crossing streets or walking near trains, and only stop to film at designated areas. Avoid running or distractions that could lead to trips and falls. Keep your distance from construction sites and moving equipment. Secure your filming gear and delete any footage that could acknowledge you are recording without permission.

Getting hit by a car when walking

Make sure you look clearly where you are going when
crossing the road and fully aware of your surroundings and
only filming when stopped at a stable crossing platform in the
middle of the road if essential
Getting hit by a train/ falling into the
tracks
Stay well behind the yellow line on the platform as advised,
as well as being careful when entering and exiting the train.
Falling on uneven ground Make sure you are concentrating when you are going and not
running or jumping around when concentrating on filming
Getting rushed by other pieces of
equipment or building materials
Stay well back from on going works and renovations and
always again being aware of what is happening around you.

Make sure equipment if held securely and safely to assure
nothing gets stolen or lost./ delete footage of
acknowledgement and try to catch people being natural and
off guard.
