RSS is a family of web feed formats that allows users to easily access updated content from multiple websites in an aggregated format. The summary provides an easy way to keep up with new information from favorite sites without having to visit each site individually. RSS works by websites publishing updated content in RSS format and users subscribing to the feeds using an RSS aggregator, which checks websites for new content and displays it all in one place. Common types of RSS aggregators include those built into browsers and email clients, online aggregators like Google Reader, and offline desktop aggregators.
The document discusses Really Simple Syndication (RSS), which allows websites to publish frequently updated content like blog posts or news headlines in a standardized format. RSS is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content like blog posts, news headlines, or podcasts. RSS feeds allow users to stay up to date with their favorite websites more easily than manually checking each site. Users subscribe to RSS feeds by adding the feed's link to an RSS reader, which then regularly checks for and downloads any new content updates. Sharing content to blogs and other websites is known as syndication. RSS and Atom are common feed formats that are based on XML.
RSS (Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary) allows users to easily stay informed by retrieving updated content from websites they follow in an organized format without needing to visit each site individually. RSS works by websites maintaining a standardized list called an RSS feed of notifications that aggregator programs access on behalf of users to organize updates. Popular RSS aggregators include Feedly, which users can sign into to add RSS feeds to their blogs or to organize updates from sites they follow.

RSS (RDF Site Summary or Rich Site Summary) allows users to subscribe to feeds from websites and have headlines and summaries delivered in a single place. RSS feeds can be read more quickly than visiting each website individually. While scanning headlines is faster than full pages, subscribing to too many feeds may become overwhelming. RSS uses XML tags to tell feed readers how to display the information. Both websites and RSS feeds are text files, but RSS relies on RDF and XML tags to organize the content for aggregators.
This document provides information about web feeds and how they allow users to subscribe to frequently updated content from websites. It discusses the differences between RSS and Atom formats for creating feed files in XML. RSS was originally created by Dan Libby and has evolved through different versions. Both RSS and Atom feeds can be accessed using aggregator programs or websites to automatically gather new updates from subscribed feeds. This allows users to be informed of new content without visiting websites individually.
This document discusses RSS (Really Simple Syndication) and how it can be used to create and consume RSS feeds on websites, desktops, and mobile phones. It explains that RSS allows users to syndicate and automatically update content from websites they subscribe to. The document then provides steps for how to create an RSS feed on a website by writing XML code and validating the feed. It also discusses how desktop software like FeedForAll can be used to create RSS feeds and how mobile phones can consume RSS feeds.
Rss mashup on 'News Snippets in Business and Economics' in Indiaikmediaries
Presentation on the an RSS mashup on 'News Snippets in Business and Economics', created using Yahoo Pipes and J2S. It covers news items on Indian and world economy, which enables researchers to have look at one place news items of their interest. The presentation was given by Sham Pujar, IGIDR, India at the Marketplace for techies session at the 4th I-K-Mediary workshop in Bangladesh, January 2011.
RSS allows users to aggregate headlines and content from multiple websites into a single feed that can be easily viewed and monitored. It works by websites publishing content updates in RSS format, which are plain text files that use XML tags to describe things like titles, dates, and URLs. RSS readers then collect these updates from across the web and display them together for the user to review quickly without visiting each individual site. Creating RSS feeds is similar to building a regular website, with the content and design controlled by XML tags that readers can interpret to display the feed.

Rss feed - Off Page Optimization - Digital MarketingNeeraj Reddy
RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a format used by many websites to automatically syndicate their latest posts or data. It allows users to subscribe to frequent updates from their favorite websites through a feed reader without having to manually check each site. The RSS format uses XML to define a channel containing items like article titles, links, and descriptions that are delivered to subscribers. Using RSS feeds saves time by automatically delivering new content from subscribed sites rather than requiring users to repeatedly visit each site.
RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a format for distributing updated web content like news headlines to users. It allows websites to syndicate updated content easily to anyone who wants it. RSS feeds are read through desktop or web-based RSS readers, which organize headlines and notices for easy reading. RSS solves the problem of notifying users of changes to multiple websites in an organized way without using email.
RSS feeds allow users to subscribe to frequently updated content like blogs, news, and podcasts. An RSS aggregator collects all subscribed content from different sites into one place. Aggregators check subscribed feeds every hour and collect any new content. This allows users to check one site instead of many individual sites. RSS and aggregators are useful for managing large amounts of information by organizing content by topic and reading updates from many sources in less time. They also allow access to subscribed content from anywhere using aggregator apps. RSS should be used because it brings updated content from many sources directly to users instead of users searching various sites.
RSS allows users to subscribe to websites and receive updates delivered directly. When a user subscribes, they receive an RSS feed which provides headlines and summaries of new articles on that site in an efficient, scrollable format. RSS feeds are detected and displayed by web browsers and specialized RSS reader programs aggregate feeds from multiple sites in a single location for convenient access to updates.

Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
