This document analyzes effective and ineffective crowdfunding rewards through a review of several projects. A project to send a student to hair school was successful due to its original, talent-related rewards. A project seeking education funding was unsuccessful because its rewards lacked variety and were not actual rewards. A project to fund sex education programs was on track to meet its goal because its rewards involved the educator and curriculum. A project in East Africa had an unsuccessful campaign because its rewards were only a t-shirt and postcard without variety.
