YOUTH INTERACTIVE
A Creative Entrepreneurship Academy serving youth in Santa
Barbara County.
We build youth-led businesses through the arts to help bridge
the opportunity divide and empower youth to become positive,
passionate and economically self-sufficient.
WHO WE SERVE
We collaborate with local high
schools, colleges, universities,
youth crisis shelters, probation
and many non profit partners to
provide a path to success for
Santa Barbara County’s most
creative youth, ages 14-24.
The youth we serve face
considerable obstacles on their
pathway to adulthood: 86% are
from low-income homes and
68% of our youth come from
distressed neighborhoods or
live in temporary or transition
housing.

EMPOWERING YOUTH
WITH TEA!
Our enrichment program of T.E.A.
(Technology, Entrepreneurship and the
Arts) teaches practical life skills, financial
literacy and success through creative
entrepreneurship. Our programs also
include a backbone of groundbreaking
modalities needed for realistic long
term social change. Youth Interactive is
open six days a week and students are
welcome anytime. Our staff are on call
24/7. We employ alumni as youth leaders
to support, inspire and work side by side
with students. Together, we connect, listen,
communicate and work to provide solutions
for creative youth to learn, grow and become
empowered to achieve their dreams.
Our students have access to
the most talented creatives
and entrepreneurs in town
who teach them vocational
skills, financial literacy and the
fundamental business skills they
need in the modern workplace.
Over the past two years, we
have created six youth led
micro businesses. Our job is
to provide youth with a hand
up, not a hand out, while
simultaneously building their
resume and work experience.
All our students keep profits from their
business, earn credits and community
service hours towards high school and
college graduation.
