This document provides an overview of key concepts regarding points, lines, and planes:
- A point is an exact location in space. A line is a straight path of points that extends indefinitely in two directions. A plane is an endless flat surface.
- Parallel lines never intersect. Perpendicular lines form 90 degree angles. Intersecting lines pass through the same point.
- The document contains examples testing the reader's understanding of points, lines, and planes and their relationships. It assigns homework problems applying these concepts for the next class.
This slide show was prepared to help my fourth grade class learn about points, lines, and planes as part of our geometry unit in math and to help them with their homework.
