Financial Empowerment Coordinator – Responsibilities include implementation of the Mayor’s Action Challenge for 500 Families
Financially Fit for the Future designed to provide financial planning and education to the citizens of Virginia Beach. Program is a
coordinated program between the City, non-profit, government and financial partners. Responsibilities include program
administration, training, volunteer management, seeking grant funding, coordinating partners and tracking and reporting program
milestones and successes. This program gained national recognition for providing innovative solutions to economic challenges.
Signature Financial Management – United Way South Hampton Roads 2009-2011
Director Financial Stability – Responsibilities include development of a regional coordinated program to increase financial stability
for South Hampton Roads. Responsibilities include program development, management, funding and coordination of over 50 partner
corporations and agencies and over 200 volunteers to provide personal finance adult training. Founded a state-wide consumer
awareness campaign to increase savings and reduce debt which involved working with state-wide partners to improve financial
condition of families across the Commonwealth.
Signature Financial Management 2005 - 2009
Financial Planner and Relationship Manager – Responsibilities include analysis and delivery of financial planning and investment
advice for clients. Developed client financial goals, identified potential risks and monitored financial planning progress. Experienced
in the use of Monte Carlo techniques to analyze expected success of financial planning scenarios. Responsible for ongoing audits of
firms operations to ensure excellent service to clients and continued compliance with regulatory requirements.
