KEY ACHEIVEMENTS AT GRAPHITE INDIA LTD WORKING SINCE 4+ YRS
As a Plant Head of Nashik unit major challenge was to tide over the recent glut in graphite industry due to
diminishing demand by steel industry, by cost control in all fronts. Major achievements was
 Reducing expenses on Stores and Services by 25 %
 Optimizing manpower by reduction of 20%
 Strengthening safety culture and percolating to grass root level which helped to achieve accident free days in
my tenure of three and half year at Factory Manager.
KEY ACHIEVEMENTS AT H.Z.L : Tenure 21 yrs
After acquisition of H.Z.L. by Vedanta contributed in increasing the capacity of zinc metal production of H.Z.L from
0.15million to to present 7.5 million ton per annum as a part of management team :
 De bottlenecking Leaching and purification plant of Zinc Smelter Debari ( Udaipur) and raising the plant
capacity from 60,000MT to 95,000MT of saleable zinc metal per annum with minimum investment
 Achieving rated capacity of 170,000mt per annum of saleable Zinc at Hydro 1 smelter Chanderiya Smelting
Complex and further de bottlenecking it to 210000Mt /annum of saleable Zinc metal by in house planning and
execution of de bottlenecking projects
Selected and deputed to
 Attended a seminar on Iron control in hydrometallurgical process Organized by Canadian Institute
of Metals at Montreal Canada in 2006 visited Canadian Electrolytic Zinc Plant
 Extrata Zinc plant at Asturiana Spain in 2006,
 Cazamarqila zinc plant at Lima ,Peru 2007,
 Torreon Smelter ,and Fresnilo mines at Mexico in 2010
 Developed and implemented a culture of adherence to SOP’s & SMP’S to ensure smooth process operation by
young team of Engineers and BSc “S with average age of 24Yrs .
 Recognized as an “Incident Controller” to respond to the emergency within the shortest possible time, and
guide the staff to handle the emergency in safe and effective manner.
 Core competence in trouble shooting of leaching process and handling high silica and high iron concentrate
