JOB PROFILE
Objective: -
To ensure an effective & efficient system of billing, effective follow up of collections from cash & credit patient,
to provide inputs for review of the terms & conditions of agreements with empanelled organizations.
Responsibilities: -
1. Billing system: -
a) Study of the existing billing software, the extent of on – line feeding of charges, suggesting
ways & means to ensure a completely on line system of feeding of charges in the existing /
proposed billing software with an objective to reduce billing timing at the time of discharge of
the patients.
b) To ensure that all chargeable items & costs are included in the bill.
2. OPD Patients: -
a) To ensure minimum possible time in OPD billing, so that the patient consultation / treatment is
not delayed
b) To ensure timely dispatch of all credit bills of various empanelled organizations.
2. 3. IPD Billing: -
a) Checking of the charge folio / Activity sheet of the admitted patients.
b) To reduce waiting time of patients coming for admission, on account of billing.
c) To ensure daily feeding of all chargeable amounts to follow up payment from admitted
patients.
d) Interaction with the patients to take care of their billing related problems, follow up of their
due amounts etc.
e) Providing estimates to patients after consulting the treating doctors, wherever required.
f) To ensure the smooth functioning of the billing department.
g) To take care of the requirement of the credit patients including the following:
1) Checking of the panel patient bills & related documents.
2) To ensure fulfillment of requirements for submission & dispatch of bills to various
empanelled organizations well within the agreed time frame.
3) Follow up for realizations from various empanelled organizations.
4) To ensure prompt response to the queries, if any, form empanelled organizations
regarding patient billing.
5) To ensure compilation & submission of the daily progress report, financial census / due
report etc. Monthly reports billing, income, collections & outstanding from various
empanelled organization.

Executives and getting work done through them.
Responsible for getting Authorization for Admitted Panel Patients for concerned empanelled
organization.
Responsible for making both cash and credit bills for the admitted patients applying hospital rates
CGHS, ECHS Online billing, ESIC, BHEL, Authority, Greater Noida Authority, Air India, Airport
Authority of India, All TPAs and other panel companies / corporates rates or whichever rates are
agreed for the medical services.
3. Responsible for preparing Estimated Bill of the admitted patients and providing them daily whenever
the required.
Making Payment for the attached private institutions which are empanelled for different investigations.
Responsible to dispatch of Credit IPD and OPD Bill in different empanelled organizations for the
payment within the time limit agreed for.
Responsible for the internal Auditing of the Billing department in association with auditor.
Preparing monthly status of Outstanding Payments form the different empanelled organization and
chasing them for payments.
