SUMMARY:
I am a dedicated hardworking associate with a strong record of developing
customer loyalty and never stopping until the job is done! I have an outgoing
personality that connects with customers on a meaningful level assuring
positive results. Quick-witted with an instinct for success and positive interactions. I’ve
worked in many different fields but have noticed one important thing; it’s all about how
you treat people. The job can be learned to a ‘T’ and the work can be proficient, but if the
customer does not enjoy their experience, your work is meaningless.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Some college experience.
Military Basic Training
WORK EXPERIENCE:
2006-2007
Taco Bell
Crew/Shift Leader
I took part in everything from taking orders to putting together food. I was promoted to
Shift Leader after just 1 month of work. As a Shift Leader I was responsible for employee
work ethics and responsibilities of the crew. I was basically the manager when the
manager wasn’t present. I started my work history off with a bang and showed my
managers that I was more than just another employee. My store manager used to always
tell me, “If I could keep you here forever I would, but you’re meant for bigger and better
things.” I use that as fuel to motivate myself everyday.
2007
Indianapolis Zoo
Admissions/ Attractions Sales and Service
In the admissions department, I sold entry tickets and parking tickets. In the attractions
department I was in charge of ticket sales, ride maintenance, and ride occupants. I
enjoyed my time working with the amazing people at the zoo. It was a very lively
entertaining atmosphere and I appreciate the opportunity they gave me.
2008-2011
Signs Inc. International
Sales/ Service/ Fabrication
Off and on throughout High School, I helped and learned the signs and graphics business
with my father. I learned valuable sales and service skills, fabrication of signs from
scratch, service of pre-existing signs, and installation of said fabricated signs. I am very
thankful to have a great mentor and teacher in my father. He taught me a lot about signs
and graphics but also a lot about how to treat customers.
2008-2011
Indy Parks and Recreation
Lifeguard
I was, until just recently, a trained and certified first responder/ lifeguard. I was trained in
CPR, first aid, all water rescues, and spinal injury rescues. As a lifeguard I have been
trained and tested as a first responder in real life scenarios and situations. I loved my job
as a lifeguard. The relationships you build with regulars and even new swimmers was a
great experience. It taught me to put others first and how to help someone in need.
2009
Firehouse Subs Inc.
Sandwich Artist/ Store Opener
As a sandwich artist at the newly opened restaurant in Avon, IN, I was responsible for
everything from kitchen and dining room cleanliness to making all sandwiches. I was
responsible for face to face sales and service and supervising other employees. I was
handed the reigns as a shift leader from the start. I am very thankful for the opportunity to
work with the family who owned the franchise. They taught me a good amount about
running my own business and I appreciate the opportunity they gave me.
2010
Big Lots Inc.
Dock to Stock Crew/ Store Opener
I was responsible for unloading trucks and taking product to the store floor. I was a
cashier and excelled in face to face sales and service. A few months after me and the rest
of my co workers opened the new store, I was moved to furniture sales and services. I
learned a lot about putting furniture together. I also learned a good amount about how to
sale that type of good to any type of customer. You learn about what people prefer to
sleep on or sit on and it helps you understand peoples comfort. I think it’s a valuable skill
to have and I am very thankful for the opportunity they gave me to learn and grow.
May 2012- December 2012
Cheddars Casual Café
Server/ Store Opener
I worked as a server at Cheddars Casual Café. I did everything from take orders to
helping with kitchen duties. Since opening the store in May of 2012, I steadily worked
alongside very experienced and well rounded individuals. This job taught me the most
about customer service. The face to face interaction and dealing with peoples food put me
on the frontlines of customer service. I loved it and I excelled in serving. I loved return
customers who asked for me specifically and we’d pick up the conversations right where
we left off. It was an amazing experience a good life lesson on how to deal with rowdy
customers. I am very thankful for the opportunity I was given.
December 2012- December 2013
