Adedoyin Adeleke is the Founder and Executive Director of the International Support Network for African Development (ISNAD-Africa), Ibadan, Nigeria and he is a Doctoral (PhD) Researcher on Impact Evaluation of Sustainable Energy Invention Projects within the UNESCO Chair in Energy for Sustainable Development at the Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy. Adedoyin holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria; a programme he completed with a scholarship from the Federal Government of Nigeria. Also funded with a MacArthur Foundation Grant Scholarship, he completed a multidisciplinary master’s degree programme in Energy studies (Renewable Energy) with Distinction at the Nigeria’s Premier University, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. As his dissertation, he conducted a multidisciplinary research on the “Sustainability of Solar Mini-Grids in Nigeria”. Upon his graduation, Adedoyin served as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Petroleum, Energy Economics and Law, a MacArthur Foundation Centre of Excellence in energy training and research. In 2016, he was awarded a fellowship by the German Government to participate in the 69th UNEP/UNESCO/BMUB International Short Course on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency at the Centre for International Postgraduate Studies of Environmental Management, Technische Unviersität Dresden, Dresden, Germany. This made him one of the 21 participants from across the globe at the training. He has also participated in summer schools, conferences, and workshops in various countries. Adedoyin served as a Country Contributor to the 2017 Global Status Report (on Renewable Energy) published by the Paris-based Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21st Century (REN21) and also contributed to 2017 1 Gigaton Report on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency. Adedoyin is also known for promoting environmental literacy. He has articles published on various topical issues on sustainable energy published on Pennwell’s RenewableEnergyWorld.com, ANSOLE’s e-magazines, among others.
