Oversizing the HVAC system is detrimental to energy use, comfort, indoor air quality, building and equipment durability. All of these impacts derive from the fact that the system will be “short cycling” in both heating and cooling modes. To reach peak operational efficiency and effectiveness, a heating and cooling system should run for as long as possible to address the loads. Short cycling limits the total amount of air circulating through each room, and can lead to rooms that do not receive adequate duration of airflow. In the cooling season in humid climates, cold clammy conditions can occur due to reduced dehumidification caused by the short cycling of the equipment. The system must run long enough for the coil to reach the temperature for condensation to occur and an oversized system that short cycles may not run long enough to sufficiently condense moisture from the air. Excess humidity in the conditioned air delivered to a space may lead to mold growth within the house.

Analysis of Air Conditioning Arrangement for Two Floor Shopping Complex by us...ijtsrd
Heating, ventilation and air conditioning HVAC system provides thermal comfotness to occupants by supplying cooling air from air conditioning system through duct arrangement in building. The aim of this project is to analyse air conditioning arrangements for two floor shopping complexes using Revit MEP software. First and second floors layouts and ceiling with duct arrangements are created in software and then given positions like spacing and zonings to duct arrangements, finally by analysing the layouts individual cooling and heating loads are generated automatically. Compared to first floor second floor require more load. S. Point-to-Point Protocol protocols are responsible for managing radio communication that constitutes the main energy consumer in wireless sensor-actuator networks. The point-to-point protocol is a recently proposed protocol for process control applications in industrial automation. The goal of the point-to-point protocol is to improve energy efficiency along with addressing real-time requirements for process control applications using this model; we have successfully verified key properties of the point-to-point protocol, thereby increasing confidence in the design of the protocol.

Pressure Coefficients on Building Facades for Building SimulationSimScale
While accurate wind pressure coefficients are critical to evaluating building design, most engineering software for energy and thermal analysis oversimplifies treatment of wind pressure, which can adversely impact cooling, ventilation, overheating, and fresh air rates assessments. This presentation shows how SimScale provides accurate calculations of wind pressures, quickly and cost-efficiently, to deliver a more comprehensive evaluation of building performance.

PROJECT ACCOMPLESHED
Project details:
Type : Commercial Building
Location : Bangalore
Load Calculation : 40 TR
Occupancy : 344 People
Total Area : 17817 SF
Architecture model:
Linked the given CAD file into REVIT project & then developed an architecture model.
HVAC Designing:
Creating spaces:
Created spaces within the room bounding element such as wall, roof & room separation lines that
exists in the architectural model.
Creating a space properties schedule:
Created working schedule of the building space properties and defined the different Parameters to
calculate the heat load.
.
Performing heat load analysis:
Two trials of cooling loads are generated, first run is to get sensible and latent load, second run is to
get accurate cooling load by defining ADP.
3. Equipment selection:
After estimating the heat load report selected the equipment’s and it depends on the types of air
conditioning system.
Chiller: Water cooled scroll chiller for 40 TR.
Cooling tower: Counter flow cooling tower for 50 TR.
Pumps: Condenser pump, Evaporator pump.
AHU: Indoor AHU vertical supply.
Duct design:
Based on the Air flow rate calculated the duct size by using the Equal friction method.
By maintaining constant pressure drop and recommended aspect ratio designed ducts using
McQuay duct size software.
As per the duct size and air flow rate prepared air scheme diagram then implemented same in
REVIT model.
Air distribution:
Selected the air terminal devices on the basis of noise criteria and throw.
Placed the air terminals on the false ceiling and these air terminals are connected to the duct
system through the flexible ducts.
Public health engineering:
Plumbing fixtures are mounted in the architecture model and sanitary piping is done by maintaining 1%
slope.
Fire protection system:
Designed firefighting system as per NBC recommendations. Selected the sprinklers and effectively
placed on the false ceiling to avoid the fire hazards.
Clash detection:
Found the clashes between the two systems or two elements by linking files and resolved clashes by
using REVIT Software.
Drawing:
Prepared the drawings for A/C equipment’s and accessories installation.
BOQ’S:
Bill of quantities of Duct and Duct fittings, Air terminals.
Bill of quantities of pipe, pipe fittings and plumbing fixtures.
Bill of quantities of lighting fixture, cable trays, and cable trays fittings.
Export:
Created the reports in CAD file, image file.
