Utilized the GRACE model developed by Bozard & Sanders 2011 to demonstrate how counselors can help
individuals reconcile spiritual and sexual identities
Preformed demonstration in front of University of Illinois – Springfield students, faculty, and staff
Developed a script that integrated the GRACE model concepts of Goals, Renewal of Hope, Action,
Connection, and Empowerment
Demonstration has been well received and turned into an informational video
Homosexuality and Spirituality Spring 2013
Determined that members of both the LGBTQQIA and religious communities are a vulnerable population
Utilized the configurable equation, ecological systems theory, and the counseling model
Interviewed an LGBTQQIA community center in Chicago to determine how to alleviate these struggles
