Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. 2009 to 2011
I worked as a teacher at Early Birds, a playgroup situated at Colaba.
3. BHUMIKA SHAH
2011 to 2013
My stint at First Steps, Babulnath, where I worked for 3 years
enriched my exposure and experience.
2013 to 2016
I worked at the RTI BAMBINO NURSERY, a playschool located at
Hughes Road. Here I have worked with Nursery and Sr. K.G. children.
In addition to the teaching tasks, I have also been exposed to
administrative duties under the Headmistress.
2010 to 2014
I have worked with Mrs. Shalini Bhatija, assisting her at interview
training classes. Here, I have also obtained training for storytelling
sessions.
2015 to 2016
I worked with Dr. Aarti Nandu as a class assistant for her clients at
her remedial and counselling centre for children with learning
disabilities.
June 2016 to April 2017
I worked at Mind Grove Play Group and Day Care, where I worked as a
playgroup teacher.
4. BHUMIKA SHAH
Al Dana Nursery – Bahrain November 2017 to December 2018
I worked at Al Dana Nursery from 18th
November 2017 to 30th
December 2018 as independent class teacher for a class of 25+
students. I also provided assistance in administrative work.
2019 February till date
I am currently working at the First Steps preschool as a teacher.
