Minda was shopping for a gift at the mall when she noticed a woman trying on multiple pairs of shoes at the display cabinet. The woman asked for different sizes to try on while also walking around as if checking the fit. However, the woman walked farther and farther away until she was quickly walking towards the exit of the store, suggesting she had stolen a pair of shoes. Minda stood up to get a better look but the nearby salesperson did not seem to notice the theft.

1. Situation
Minda was enjoying her window shopping
the mall. She was looking for a suitable gift to
her niece who would soon turn thirteen years
old. When she got tired, she sat down on the
one of the benches fronting the display
cabinet for ladies’ shoes. She busied herself
watching the customers who were trying the
shoes on.

2. Her attention was caught by a petite lady who was
trying a number of shoes. Wow, she thought, maybe
this lady has so much money that she could afford to buy several
pairs all at the same time.
Then, at one time, she noticed also that the lady
requested for a different size while trying on
another pair. As the sales lady left to get another
pair of shoes, she saw the lady customer walk
around as if trying to check if the shoes on her feet
were comfortable to wear.

3. But she walked farther and farther, until Minda
noticed that the lady was already walking very
fast towards the exit of the department store.

4. Minda stood up, trying to get a good sight of
the lady. There was a sales lady near her, but
the sales lady did not seem to notice what had
happened.
