This article summarizes a qualitative study that interviewed Latino/a adolescents about their future goals and aspirations, as well as any barriers they saw in achieving those goals. The researchers used a consensual qualitative research method to conduct open-ended interviews with 10th grade students over the phone. A coding team then analyzed the interview responses to identify common themes. The study aimed to understand the participants' perspectives in order to help them identify their goals and how to achieve them. The research design aligned well with the problem, question, and purpose of exploring the adolescents' future plans through qualitative interviews.
