It is applied to enhance the understanding of a particular problem or phenomenon (Grant & Osanloo, 2014). These frameworks provide focus and organization to the study, expose meaning, connect the study to the existing dissertation along with identifying the pros and cons of particular research. Just as how a house requires a plan before construction, the theoretical framework serves as a blueprint, which provides the structure to the entire dissertation (Baltimore, 2016). Additionally, the choice of theory offers a conceptual background for understanding, analyzing, and designing ways to investigate a particular problem. Therefore, if the well-utilized, theoretical framework can create a tension that produces productive outcomes for the study. More so, the theoretical framework connects different elements of dissertation/qualitative study, such as providing a brief discussion of the problem, purpose, significance, and research questions in the dissertation. A Phenomenological Study on Meaningful Professional
Experiences for Human Services Professionals

Abstract
Human services professionals are a relatively new addition to the realm of professionals in the
mental health community. As such, little research has explored how human service professionals
make meaning out of their experiences with clients. Thus, this phenomenological study explored
the defining professional experiences of human services professionals providing direct care to
persons with mental health and/or developmental disabilities. Findings related to the intensive
role of the human services professional, intrinsic rewards, client connections, barriers to service
provision and professional development, self-care, and ethical issues are discussed.
Literature Review
The human services profession emerged in the 1960s. As communities transitioned from
institutional mental health care, the need for associate and bachelor level community-based
professionals grew (Neukrug, 2017; Woodside & McClam, 2015). Often, human services
professionals are referred to professionally as case managers, generalists, and direct service
providers. Many are responsible for coordinating, consulting, counseling, planning, problem
solving, and record keeping (Taylor, Bradley, & Warren, 1996; Woodside & McClam, 2013). As
generalists, human services professionals are often capable of performing their roles and duties
in many settings and expected to support a range of client populations and demographics
(Neukrug, 2017; Woodside & McClam, 2015).
Human services professionals are often accountable for client care in two primary ways:
direct care of clients and managing and coordinating services for clients within the community
(Neukrug, 2017; Woodside & McClam, 2015). In many cases, this creates a “dual role” as
human services professionals are both providers of care and brokers of services. At the micro-
level, direct service providers are empowering their clients, providing support, and intervening in
times of crisis. At the macro level, they are creating a community network of supports for clients
as well as managing and facilitating these services (Taylor et al., 1996). Several researchers have
explored the challenging nature and complex roles of human services professionals and their
workload (Taylor, et al., 1996; Woodside, McClam, Diambra, & Varga, 2012).
Woodside et al. (2012) examined what time meant to 46 human services professionals.
After completing thematic analysis, the researchers discovered that these professionals had a
“never-ending pace,” highlighting the agencies’ demands, the intensity of client care, and the

The goals that aim to provide a safe environment and reduce the use of victim blaming language are going to be measured by gathering the number of CALU students, deans, the student conduct officers, faculty, and campus police officers who attend the mandatory on-line trainings. In addition, each on-line training is going to ask participants to answer the survey on the end in order to measure their knowledge on the learning materials. To operate this measurement, Stroger Together organization is going to be gather all the numbers of participants and their answers on the surveys. This operation is going to be happened every time when the trainings are launched.
To measure the effectiveness of training the harassed students who want to become an advocate, the organization is going to have pre and post-test that measure the students' confidence and ability to engage in the advocacy. To operate this measurement, the social worker and the counselor who are in charge of training those students are going to utilize the pre-test before every training and post-test after every training in order to acknowledge their strengths and weakness.
The last measurement tool is going to be creating a follow-up plan with the referred students due to their severity of their mental and social needs. The plan is going to be, "before referring the students to on or off campus resources, there is going to be a form that every student is going to fill out, which include their information contact, the most important resources that will meet their needs, Stronger together's contact, and hot-line for Domestic violence shelter." “Does CBPR add value to health research, or is the very premise of involving communities in the conduct of research contradictory to the
tenets of ‘science’ defined traditionally as expert based and objective? Does CBPR truly shift the power relations between the observer
and observed? And if so, does this serve the public health agenda of improving the science on which that agenda is based?”1
he engagement of community partners in the research enterprise is critical for improving human health and
advancing science.2 CBPR is an approach in which community members are actively involved in every facet of the
research, shaping it, conducting it, interpreting results, and disseminating findings.3 This approach not only changes
traditional research paradigms but also has implications for the way we think about the scientific enterprise. When
research is intimately connected to the communities under study, it should enhance the value of research for those
communities. But will that mean that the results of the research can also be applied outside that community? As CBPR
researchers, we must employ rigorous methods that approach the problem in a systematic way and have the potential for
generalizability while also incorporating a participatory framework. Another way of thinking about the CBPR approach
is that it requires research methods that simultaneously meet standards of scientific merit and acceptability and
feasibility for community partners. To help the investigator better understand how methods are considered in CBPR,
this chapter will describe:
1. Advantages and challenges of CBPR in the research process
2. The research question
3. Conceptual models and theorizing
4. Choice of methods
5. Sampling
6. Design considerations
ADVANTAGES AND CHALLENGES OF CBPR IN THE RESEARCH PROCESS
The research process involves a series of steps that include theory, hypotheses, data collection, and analysis (see Figure
3.1).4 Theory helps us make sense of interrelated phenomena in the social world.4 Hypotheses are educated guesses
about relationships between two or more characteristics that are usually based on observation or the literature. They can
be proven true or false through the research process that includes data collection and analysis. While CBPR utilizes all
the same steps as any research process, community participation creates an added layer that poses both challenges and
opportunities for the research process. Perhaps one of the most important advantages of CBPR is its ability to enhance
certain dimensions of validity and authenticity. CBPR offers an opportunity for colearning—that is, the researcher
learns from the community as the community learns from the researcher.

As you bring your own lens—that is, your own set of assumptions, biases, beliefs, and interpretations—into your interactions with clients and the human services professionals with whom you collaborate. Human services organizations have their own cultures that influence their organizational lenses. An organizational lens reflects key assumptions about the individuals to whom the organization provides services. These assumptions influence the organization’s policies and procedures which, in turn, impact service delivery. For example, an organization that focuses on understanding the perspectives of the clients it serves may allow clients to provide feedback about their client experience through membership on advisory boards or boards of directors. The clients may have the power to make recommendations and decisions about the organization’s policies and procedures.

You will write an article review, relevant to this week's learning module and readings. You will select the article yourself by searching the UWA Library Databases. Each review is worth 20 points.  The review should be 1-2 single-spaced pages in a 12-point font. The purpose of the review is to provide students knowledge of how research is conducted and reported. The main part of your review needs to include the following information. Please comment on these aspects of the article as part of your review. Provide only the briefest summary of content. What I am most interested in is your critique and connection to weekly readings.

Introduction. Read the introduction carefully. The introduction should contain:
· A thorough literature review that establishes the nature of the problem to be addressed in the present study (the literature review is specific to the problem)
· The literature review is current (generally, articles within the past 5 years)
· A logical sequence from what we know (the literature review) to what we don't know (the unanswered questions raised by the review and what this study intended to answer

· A description of the tools/measures used and research design employed.
· A detailed description of the procedures of the study including participant instructions and whether incentives were given.
Results. The results section should contain a very thorough summary of results of all analyses. This section should include:
· Specific demographic characteristics of the sample
· A thorough narrative description of the results of all statistical tests that addressed specific hypotheses
· If there are tables and figures, are they also described in the text?
· If there are tables and figures, can they be interpreted "stand alone" (this means that they contain sufficient information in the title and footnotes so that a reader.

Qualitative Methods in Business Ethics,
Corporate Responsibility, and Sustainability
Research
The number and infl uence of qualitative research articles has been growing across
top-tier management journals (Bartunek, Rynes, & Ireland, 2006 ; Bluhm, Harman,
Lee, & Mitchell, 2011 ). Business Ethics Quarterly explicitly welcomes qualitative
submissions (e.g., Peifer, 2015 ), but has published few such articles in recent years
despite the fact that they compromise approximately 18% of the 300+ annual sub-
missions the journal receives. This does not refl ect a bias against qualitative methods
on the part of the editors, or the idea that qualitative methods are less well suited than
quantitative, or purely theoretical, articles to explore questions of business ethics,
corporate responsibility, and sustainability. On the contrary, qualitative methods
are well poised to understand and explain complex and messy ethical phenomena.
For this reason, the editors seek to increase high-quality qualitative scholarship
in Business Ethics Quarterly . To help facilitate this end, additional, experienced
qualitative methods scholars have been appointed to the editorial leadership
team and to the editorial review board to help mentor submitters to develop their
qualitative manuscripts. However, qualitative researchers also face a number of
challenges in getting their research published, including the need to transpar-
ently demonstrate the quality and rigour of qualitative methods deployed. The
purpose of this editorial is to provide guidance to qualitative scholars seeking
to submit their work to Business Ethics Quarterly . While much of this guidance
applies to qualitative research in general, we would fi rst like to outline what
qualitative methods have to offer for business ethics, corporate responsibility,
and sustainability scholarship.
WHY QUALITATIVE METHODS IN BUSINESS ETHICS RESEARCH?
The strength of qualitative research is typically seen as theory elaboration and theory
generation rather than theory testing. This is particularly valuable for examining
novel or emergent questions in business ethics, where no or little extant theory
exists from which to deduce testable research hypotheses. As qualitative research
typically proceeds inductively from data to theory, it can explore domains and ques-
tions where quantitative research would struggle to formulate hypotheses or fi nd
suffi cient data. With the changing role of business in society (Scherer, Palazzo, &
Baumann, 2006 ), the context for studying business ethics is transforming quickly.

Abstract
Although acknowledging the stress of raising their child with intellectual disabilities, parents also
report that their child has brought about many positive changes in themselves and family. This
study reports what parents perceive to be a positive aspect of parenting their child, as currently
what constitutes a ‘positive’ is unclear. Seven key themes were identified; an increased sense of
personal strength and confidence, changed priorities, greater appreciation of life, pleasure in the
child’s accomplishments, increased faith/spirituality, more meaningful relationships and the positive
effect that the child has on the wider community. Interpretive examination of the themes reveals
that the positive aspects identified consist mostly of meaning-focused coping strategies. T.

You will write an article review, relevant to this week's learning module and readings. You will select the article yourself by searching the UWA Library Databases. The article you choose should be a research article (has a hypothesis that is empirically tested). Pick an article relevant to a topic covered in the weekly readings. Each review is worth 20 points.  The review should be 1-2 single-spaced pages in a 12-point font. It is in your best interest to submit your review before it is due so you may check your originality report and correct any spelling and grammatical errors identified by the software program.
The purpose of the review is to provide students knowledge of how research is conducted and reported. The main part of your review needs to include the following information. Please comment on these aspects of the article as part of your review. Provide only the briefest summary of content. What I am most interested in is your critique and connection to weekly readings.
Reference. Listed at the top of the paper in APA style.
Introduction. Read the introduction carefully. The introduction should contain:
· A thorough literature review that establishes the nature of the problem to be addressed in the present study (the literature review is specific to the problem)
· The literature review is current (generally, articles within the past 5 years)
· A logical sequence from what we know (the literature review) to what we don't know (the unanswered questions raised by the review and what this study intended to answer
· The purpose of the present study
· The specific hypotheses/research questions to be addressed.
· State the overall purpose of the paper. What was the main theme of the paper?
· What new ideas or information were communicated in the paper?
· Why was it important to publish these ideas?
Methods. The methods section has three subsections. The methods sections should contain:
· The participants and the population they are intended to represent (are they described as well in terms of relevant demographic characteristics such as age, gender, ethnicity, education level, income level, etc?).
· The number of participants and how the participants were selected for the study
· A description of the tools/measures used and research design employed.
· A detailed description of the procedures of the study including participant instructions and whether incentives were given.
Results. The results section should contain a very thorough summary of results of all analyses. This section should include:
· Specific demographic characteristics of the sample
· A thorough narrative description of the results of all statistical tests that addressed specific hypotheses
· If there are tables and figures, are they also described in the text?
· If there are tables and figures, can they be interpreted "stand alone" (this means that they contain sufficient information in the title and footnotes so that a reader.

Qualitative Methods in Business Ethics,
Corporate Responsibility, and Sustainability
Research
The number and infl uence of qualitative research articles has been growing across
top-tier management journals (Bartunek, Rynes, & Ireland, 2006 ; Bluhm, Harman,
Lee, & Mitchell, 2011 ). Business Ethics Quarterly explicitly welcomes qualitative
submissions (e.g., Peifer, 2015 ), but has published few such articles in recent years
despite the fact that they compromise approximately 18% of the 300+ annual sub-
missions the journal receives. This does not refl ect a bias against qualitative methods
on the part of the editors, or the idea that qualitative methods are less well suited than
quantitative, or purely theoretical, articles to explore questions of business ethics,
corporate responsibility, and sustainability. On the contrary, qualitative methods
are well poised to understand and explain complex and messy ethical phenomena.
For this reason, the editors seek to increase high-quality qualitative scholarship
in Business Ethics Quarterly . To help facilitate this end, additional, experienced
qualitative methods scholars have been appointed to the editorial leadership
team and to the editorial review board to help mentor submitters to develop their
qualitative manuscripts. However, qualitative researchers also face a number of
challenges in getting their research published, including the need to transpar-
ently demonstrate the quality and rigour of qualitative methods deployed. The
purpose of this editorial is to provide guidance to qualitative scholars seeking
to submit their work to Business Ethics Quarterly . While much of this guidance
applies to qualitative research in general, we would fi rst like to outline what
qualitative methods have to offer for business ethics, corporate responsibility,
and sustainability scholarship.
WHY QUALITATIVE METHODS IN BUSINESS ETHICS RESEARCH?
The strength of qualitative research is typically seen as theory elaboration and theory
generation rather than theory testing. This is particularly valuable for examining
novel or emergent questions in business ethics, where no or little extant theory
exists from which to deduce testable research hypotheses. As qualitative research
typically proceeds inductively from data to theory, it can explore domains and ques-
tions where quantitative research would struggle to formulate hypotheses or fi nd
suffi cient data. With the changing role of business in society (Scherer, Palazzo, &
Baumann, 2006 ), the context for studying business ethics is transforming quickly.

justice and human rights in global value chains spreading across national borders

Abstract
Although acknowledging the stress of raising their child with intellectual disabilities, parents also
report that their child has brought about many positive changes in themselves and family. This
study reports what parents perceive to be a positive aspect of parenting their child, as currently
what constitutes a ‘positive’ is unclear. Seven key themes were identified; an increased sense of
personal strength and confidence, changed priorities, greater appreciation of life, pleasure in the
child’s accomplishments, increased faith/spirituality, more meaningful relationships and the positive
effect that the child has on the wider community. Interpretive examination of the themes reveals

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

RESEARCH TOPIC; SOCIAL WORKERS AND IDENTIFICATION OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING VICTIMS PART 1 Role of Theoretical Framework in Qualitative Research Discussion Post The theoretical framework informs epistemologies and methodologies in a qualitative study since it is pervasive and influential compared to the methodology alone. It is applied to enhance the understanding of a particular problem or phenomenon (Grant & Osanloo, 2014). These frameworks provide focus and organization to the study, expose meaning, connect the study to the existing dissertation along with identifying the pros and cons of particular research. Moreover, the methodological approach guides the qualitative study by establishing ideas and approaches to the research. Just as how a house requires a plan before construction, the theoretical framework serves as a blueprint, which provides the structure to the entire dissertation (Baltimore, 2016). Additionally, the choice of theory offers a conceptual background for understanding, analyzing, and designing ways to investigate a particular problem. Therefore, if the well-utilized, theoretical framework can create a tension that produces productive outcomes for the study. More so, the theoretical framework connects different elements of dissertation/qualitative study, such as providing a brief discussion of the problem, purpose, significance, and research questions in the dissertation. Aligning a theory with these
- 2. essential components provides an intriguing highlight, which adds weight to levels of knowledge that the study is investigating (Grant & Osanloo, 2014). Similarly, just as how a reliable and robust blueprint to help build a secure home foundation based on the owner’s desire. Therefore, the theoretical framework act as a strong basis for various parts of the dissertation that needs to be developed, in the body of the paper. Finally, the elevation and foundation blueprints are both critical in a home building analogy. Similarly, theoretical frameworks and their concepts should be applied to be meaningful to the structure of these methodologies and epistemologies relating to the qualitative research. - 3. clients. This arises from the fact that social workers play an essential role in evaluating, as well as giving treatment services to sex-trafficking victims. More specifically, social workers' knowledge, training, and capacity to assess is a crucial element in picking out sex trafficking victims. The primary research question is whether there is an adequate level of awareness amongst social workers and that will address the gap and reduce obstacles related to victim identification (Howard, 2015; Ravitch & Carl, 2016). An assessment of how thoroughly the research design was presented, including what was missing The study succinctly covered the awareness level of social workers by following a qualitative research design to address the question of whether social work professionals can effectively identify sex-trafficked victims from their pool of clients. A qualitative approach was used in this research to establish a keener comprehension of social workers' knowledge, attitudes, as well as amplified information in their program that helps in identifying sex-trafficking victims. The research fits within the scope of a qualitative study as it explicated on the features of a particular population by analyzing and describing relationships with a sample. However, the structured and unstructured interviews with social work professionals did not give much detail about their demographic data such as age as well as the highest level of education obtained and how these can influence their level of awareness of sex trafficking (Howard, 2015; Ravitch & Carl, 2016). Problem: Sex trafficking is an international crime of violence against both women and children. Social workers get to meet these victims at their point of need when they seek help with regards to their physical or psychological health in sexual assault agencies as well as child welfare and protection agencies, amongst others.
