Aims:
• The aims of this poster is to make people aware
of the impact that mental illness has on people
on a daily basis.
• To show that you can support people with mental
health just by supporting Mental Health
Awareness Week.

Case Study 1
Techniques:
The techniques used in this poster are good. The colour scheme of this
poster shows trust, loyalty and faith in the blue background which
contradicts the problem they are talking about but I love this as it shows
everything the victims loose with their abuse as they loose the trust an
faith they had in that person and they are no longer loyal in the victims
eyes. The white shows goodness, innocence and light this also
contradicts the meaning of the poster but also works as well as the light is
switched to dark as the victims feel there's no way out and they are
trapped in this situation. Goodness turns to evil as the abuses rein of
terror continues and innocence is felt by the victims as they feel like a
child being punished for being naughty.

To provide information: this poster shows some
information about self harm and also a website for
more information.
To campaign: to make people aware.
To build relationships with subjects:
Aims:
• The aims are to get people to realise they're not
alone.
• To show people that there into not easy to get
through self harm
• Its not for attention

Case Study 2
Techniques:
The techniques used by this poster are good. The colour scheme of this
poster shows danger, strength and power with the red used in the words
“put the blade” this shows that the person needs strength and power
over themselves to do the action and if they don’t have the strength it
won’t happen. And it also shows how dangerous self harm is and how
harming is to the person and how dangerous it could be to the people
around them. The orange represents determination, success and
encouragement this could show the person/ people that are helping the
self harmer or the determination the self harmer has to stop harming.
The yellow in the word down shows the weight that is lifted once you get
passed self harming as yellow represents joy, happiness and energy but
as it’s a dull yellow it could have a whole different meaning it could
represent caution and sickness as caution is not thought about when
self harming you are just looking to get rid of the mental pain with the
physical which makes the situation worse as you cold use something
that is contaminated so will infect the cuts, this would lead to the
sickness and possible hospitalisation.

people see people for their colour.

people they aren't alone in how they feel or see
different situations.
To campaign: to make people aware.
To infiltrate mainstream media:
To build relationships with subjects:
Aims:
• The aims of this poster is to make people think
about the impact of being racist.

Case Study 3
Techniques
The way this poster is made and used is really effective as brown and
green are very similar in some types of colour-blindness called
Protanopia and Deuteranopia in these the warmer tones are stripped
away from the actual colour of the object making a lot of colours the
same or similar as you can see in the example images I have provided
below. This poster uses green and brown so if you aren't colour blind you
can see the word in the circle but if you're are you cant showing the
meaning behind its simplicity. Also the poster makes you interact with it
as from a fare you can not see the word clearly but up close you can
meaning its mysterious till you interact with it.
