Immersive virtual reality may help reduce foreign language speaking anxiety in EFL learners. The study used a 2x2 factorial design with 140 students assigned to groups that received a speaking intervention either through immersive VR or a traditional classroom, and with lessons based on either situated learning theory or a traditional approach. Questionnaires and speaking tests before and after the interventions showed VR and situated learning reduced self-reported speaking anxiety more than the traditional methods. Student feedback also indicated VR created a low-pressure environment that improved willingness to communicate and language skills.

This study examined the relationship between achievement in advanced educational psychology and self-regulated learning among prospective teachers. A pre-test post-test design was used to evaluate the impact of an e-content module on growth, development and learning. Samples of 30 prospective teachers learning in Tamil and 30 in English participated. Results showed a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores, indicating the e-content was effective. There was also a substantial positive relationship found between achievement and self-regulated learning. The study concluded the e-content module improved achievement and self-regulated learning is important for prospective teachers.

The aim of this study was to explore intrinsic and extrinsic motivations toward learning Spanish, French, and Mandarin as foreign languages. Also, this study investigates which are the main factors that influence the learners’ motivation of the L2, focusing on two specific aspects within the classroom: the materials used in this learning process and the teacher’s behaviors. A sample of 173 high school L2 students (9-12) was selected. The results showed that among the top 10 reasons that justified their L2 learning process, 6 were based on intrinsic factors and 4 on extrinsic ones. Also, these results showed that the most preferred materials by the students to learn are those related to audio-visual resources. Lastly, regarding the teachers’ motivational practices, the results showed that learners value as the most important motivational factors some teacher’s personality traits.Project based learning - teaching methodology
Project-based learning (PBL) is a student-centered pedagogical approach that involves students working in groups to solve an open-ended problem. This study examined the effects of PBL on 28 seventh-grade students' English speaking and writing skills in Indonesia. Quantitative data showed a significant improvement in students' speaking and writing abilities after PBL instruction. Qualitatively, PBL enhanced students' enthusiasm, confidence, creativity, collaboration skills, and self-directed learning. It also increased the teacher's motivation and satisfaction in teaching. The findings provide evidence that PBL has positive impacts on students' language skills and the overall teaching and learning process.

Exploring Differences in Motivation between Students Who Excelled and Under P...
This study examines the motivation levels of students who excelled and underperformed in learning English as a second language in Chinese secondary schools. The researcher used a questionnaire based on a tripartite motivation framework to measure students' learner-internal factors, social psychological perspectives, and pragmatic gains. Interviews with English teachers were also conducted. The results showed differences in motivation levels between high-achieving and underperforming students for factors like need for achievement, attitudes toward learning English, anxiety, and perceptions of English language culture. The study aims to help teachers identify ways to improve motivation among underperforming students.

This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is

- 2. INTRODUCTION • Motivating students to excel in their English lesson might be a problem to many teachers/lecturers. • Motivation is very important. It is the key to learning (Dornyei, 1998) • There are many improvements in English lessons although the students are still showing minimum level of intrinsic motivation (Vannestal & Lindquist, 2011) EDU702 - RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

BACKGROUND OF THE RESEARCH • Many English teachers/lecturers believe that their students lack intrinsic motivation to excel in English learning. • Johansson (2010) pointed out intrinsic motivation as a factor of influence in students’ English grammar lesson. • Dornyei (2009) indicated that students’ success in second language learning depends on their motivation level. STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM • According to Eide Neurolearning website, students tend to lose their intrinsic motivation as their age increases. • It was recorded that students in 6th grade possessed 3.0 points of intrinsic motivation level compared to those in 9th grade who managed to score only 2.5 points out of 3.5 scale. • Ahmed (2014) singled out that learners’ motivation and desire are the main factor for second language acquisition.
