Pop/RnB artists often stick to genre conventions in their music videos. Videos typically feature an attractive artist singing and acting out scenes with other characters in natural environments. The group plans to find an attractive person to sing Adele's song and act out scenes accordingly. They will film in natural locations like beaches and fields that are commonly used in other artists' videos. Before filming, they must decide the location, consider the weather, develop the characters and storyline.

- 1. What genre will you be working within and to what extent will you be sticking to the conventions of the genre? Most pop/RnB artists are physically attractive which occasionally helps them sell more records such as Rihanna. There are also unique artists such as Lady Gaga that keeps her fans on their toes with her outrageous ideas. Pop/RnB artists often tend to set their videos in a normal, natural environment and have storylines based around it with scenes acted out by the artist and other characters and scenes where they are singing to the camera. So we will be sticking to the conventions of the genre of music we will be focusing on a lot. Outline the synopsis for your video. As we are using Adele as our song, and people have told us that they prefer an attractive artist to be in the video, we will find someone attractive to put in the video who will sing and also act out some scenes with other characters. People have also told us that they prefer the ‘natural’ look like Rihanna from ‘glammed up’ like Nicki Minaj. We will also set our videos in natural environments. Where might make a good location (or locations) for your video and why? Good locations our group have taken into consideration to suit our genre are the beach, open-spread fields, town centres, warehouses, scrap yards, recording studios etc. These places are effective places to set videos and these places are also used by other artists in their videos. These sort of places can be used to express feelings in any way. What preparation do you have to complete before you can start filming? Decide where we are going to set the video, take the weather into consideration (what we want the weather to be like and when it is suitable to be filming), our characters (what we want them to look like), the storyline of our video etc.
