Step 1
Understanding the Problem: The first stage in the process includes the understanding of the problem and the identification of objectives. Where are we? What do we want to do? Usually this step is the prerogative of the political process, which of course includes public input. We often see political platforms developed during the election season which normally include the objectives of that particular party or candidate. These platforms illustrate for the voter the objectives deemed important by that individual or party. Weimer and Vining (2011) note that one aspect of policy analysis is that we often see “goal vagueness” (p. 348). Indeed, goal vagueness is often a strategic choice by decision makers to enable the policy analysis process and drive the policy goal product.
Step 2
Explaining Relevant Policy Goals: The model for policy analysis is rational and fact based, so the second step is to collect information that could be relevant in our decision making. Clearly, there are numerous available sources of information. On the one hand, there may be resolutions to your issue already applied in other areas/jurisdictions. These “best practices” can often be found through peer networks or professional organizations. Also, there are extensive existing sources of information we can develop using literature review techniques. These include online journal and/or data base searches, materials produced by interest groups, and also government publications. Examples of data generated by the government relevant to our discussions include U.S. Census data or labor data from the Department of Labor. Both of these agencies collect and disseminate extensive relevant data useful in many policy projects. In addition, the data phase can include the actual generation of data including methods such as surveys, focus groups, talking to people, and finding unpublished information including organizational data. Weimer and Vining (2011), in Figure 14.1 (p. 338), illustrate a strategy for combining both literature and field research. Overall, the intent of gathering and generating the data is to ascertain the possible impacts of our policy decisions to the extent that policy makers can weigh various alternatives and understand possible decision outcomes.

Teaching statistical thinking and improving performance involves learning how to resolve a number of ambiguities during the statistical inquiry process that are not found in typical homework problems and exams. Inquiry with ill-structured problems requires a number of skills that need to be developed during the course:
a. “Generating a curiosity about the world that identifies “I wonder problems”;
b. Writing a measurable question that provides insight into these problems;
c. Determining relevant valid and accessible data;
d. Planning and carrying out data collection;
e. Checking, cleaning and organizing data;

As observed in recent years, large organizations are facing multiple data breaches from hackers who are trying to steal sensitive information. With the increase in technology, attackers with malicious intent are finding advanced methods to breach into the organization or even simple by exploiting known risks that could have been avoided by the organization by updating their systems on a regular basis (Alawneh, 2008). The most recent breach that we all were aware off was the Equifax data breach where it was reported that millions of its customers personal identifiable information (PII) were stolen, information such as social security number , an individual’s name, financial record, driver’s license number, etcetera.. The purpose of this paper is to how organizations can protect themselves from data breaches. What are the ways in which their data can be exposed and does employee awareness will help organizations protect themselves from being attacked from various sources?
Design of the study:
The data collected in this paper was a mixed approach. The collected data was both qualitative and quantitative in nature. The researcher developed a questionnaire containing both open-ended and close-ended questions and all of this was administered through LimeSurvey. And most of the participants response was recorded when they were trying to explain their understanding of a breach and how data leaks can be classified into intentional threats and inadvertent threats as these recording were transliterated for further analysis using otter A.I. And each session from the participant lasted from 45 – 90 minutes depending on the tasks being performed.
Data collection and participants:
All the participants involved in the sessions have worked or currently working in financial organizations. Participants read and signed a consent form explaining the purpose of the research and were given the option to skip a question if they feel uncomfortable in answering a question. Participants were recruited through ads from social media and from known contacts whose education and work experience are related to the study that was being conducted. There were around 50 participants in total, 30 males and 20 females, they ranged in age from 24 - 57. When asked about data breaches and do they know who their organizations protect itself from data breaches as part of employee awareness, 40 said yes and 10 said no. And when asked about taking or participating in any data security training conducted by the organizations, 35 said yes and 15 said no. And when asked about recording their answers on a device 45 said yes and 5 said no, For the 5, we noted down their answers on a paper with their consent.

Moreover, Facebook page plays a part in engaging people in the form of a community. People share experiences and opinions toward products, services, and trends in particular periods on the Facebook page community. Regarding sentiment analysis on Facebook pages, most education and other general topics in English have only been analyzed in English. However, sentiment analysis regarding agritech startups topics in Thai language has not been done yet. This study analyzes opinions and categorizes positive and negative comments by using naive Bayes classifier to examine the sentiments and attitudes of people and investors. The results could possibly reflect the perception rate of agritech startups in Thailand and could be applied to explain attentiveness and assess people’s engagement opinions. Furthermore, it could be applied in studying consumer behavior, marketing analysis, spread of information, and attitudes. The study's model is generic and could be applied in other contexts to provide insightful suggestions.

a novel Hybrid Classification Algorithm to classify engineering students’ sentiments. Unlike traditional

First of all, I will consider gathering all the concern key stakeholders who will tend to serve as the task force for the needs assessment regarding the child welfare project. There are various sources of data that are used in the process of evaluation in that data is easily acquired in most convenient forms such that it can be used in proper evaluation that aids the best result (Long, et al 2015).
Current and Previous Data
An individual who is involved in an evaluation should start by considering data that is already available as well as the data that had been used previously. According to the program it has been out of operation for more than five years, therefore, being inactive. Knowing what program had been used by checking records that have been documented (Boulmetis et al, 2016). For example, looking at reports written previously allows the evaluator to have the whole idea.
Plan Recipient
The most convenient way to source data is when an evaluator relies on the plan or the program that the recipients have in existence. This is because this is a way that can provide a route way to achieve evaluation needs (Greene et al, 2017). Discussion together with the recipients is a better way to access information while surveys that are involved verify the whole process.
Records from observation
Images that have been recorded in various forms are essential data capturing sources (Greene et al, 2017). Some of these sources include pictures, stored clips, and videos which is the preferred data acquiring points that have been in use. Alicia - To understand more about how to motivate staff I think the best qualitative methods to use would be observations, case studies, and one-on-one interviews. Collecting data to understand staff motivation should come directly from the experiences of the staff themselves. The appropriate sources of data collection would be direct focus groups, case studies, and one-to-one interviews. What makes the research reliable is that the responses and feedback are given directly from the employees, which becomes a conglomerate piece of unbiased and authentic feedback, while still originating from staff members as individuals. A narrative inquiry could be used to delve deeper into employee performance. Staff motivation is important to explore and build upon because staff members are a valuable part of any organization. Greenberger, Maul, Walker, McClendon (2021) wrote that qualitative design focuses on storytelling through the lens of participant perspectives. this is crucial to the data collection aspect because the focus question is, "How are staff members motivated and why are staff members motivated?"

Having an understanding of the research design process and what steps are critical will ensure that time, energy, and money are utilized in the correct space, and that the research that is being conducted is done so with the greatest possible outcome. Schoonenboom & Johnson, (2017), detail how to conduct a mixed method research study, while keeping an emphasis on quality and validity (p. 107). They focus on the seven major dimensions to make a research study successful; “: purpose, theoretical drive, timing (simultaneity and dependency), point of integration, typological versus interactive design approaches, planned versus emergent design, and design complexity” (Schoonenboom & Johnson, 2017, p. 107).
When evaluating the Ohio Lottery and the research design utilized, it can be seen that the design follows a well-defined research process, such as the one that is laid out by Schindler (2021, p. 30). The firs step was to clarify the research question. In this case study, the question is what is causing the decline in sales of Ohio lottery tickets? To help design the research, the Ohio lottery enlisted the expertise of Marcus Thomas LLC. For the collect and prepare steps, interviews were conducted across different population samples. From there the research companies analyzed and interpreted the data then reported the results and recommendations.
The disadvantage of the design utilized is the length of time that participants were in interviews. Schindler (2021), stated that each of the interviews were approximately 90 minutes long. That is a long period of time to try and keep the attention of a participant.

This study analyzes opinions and categorizes positive and negative comments by using naive Bayes classifier to examine the sentiments and attitudes of people and investors. The results could possibly reflect the perception rate of agritech startups in Thailand and could be applied to explain attentiveness and assess people’s engagement opinions. Furthermore, it could be applied in studying consumer behavior, marketing analysis, spread of information, and attitudes. Based on brainstorming, I will initiate validated methods like Modified Delphi Technique that is a simple meeting facilitation technique to give every participant an equal chance to contribute their voices as well as ideas regarding the concern project.
Step 2: Guiding Documents
I will collect and gather feedback that directly comes from the concern task force where then I will analyze. Thereafter, I will use the analyzed data to come up with concrete solutions to act as the guideline documents for the entire child welfare needs assessment. Besides, I will ensure that the documents are well attached and published in a comprehensive manner for both task force and stakeholders involved to clearly read and understand.
Step 3: secondary data collection
In step three, I will utilize the existing sources in formulating relevant information concerning the child welfare project. Moreover, I will use the secondary data or information to support the project’s questions in regards to my surveys, interviews and focus groups. Further, I will conduct an in-depth research on the available literatures for an effective understanding on research evidence state relating to the subjective area associating to the child welfare project (Child Welfare Strategy Group).
Step 4: Primary data collection
I will also utilize both methods of collecting primary data including qualitative and quantitative methods which will help me in collecting direct information concerning the child welfare project from the people I will be serving. Some of the primary data sources I will initiate include electronic or written surveys, moderated focus groups and key informant interviews.
Step 5: Data analysis

There are various sources of data that are used in the process of evaluation in that data is easily acquired in most convenient forms such that it can be used in proper evaluation that aids the best result (Long, et al 2015).
Current and Previous Data
An individual who is involved in an evaluation should start by considering data that is already available as well as the data that had been used previously. According to the program it has been out of operation for more than five years, therefore, being inactive. Knowing what program had been used by checking records that have been documented (Boulmetis et al, 2016). For example, looking at reports written previously allows the evaluator to have the whole idea.
Plan Recipient
The most convenient way to source data is when an evaluator relies on the plan or the program that the recipients have in existence. This is because this is a way that can provide a route way to achieve evaluation needs (Greene et al, 2017). Discussion together with the recipients is a better way to access information while surveys that are involved verify the whole process.
Records from observation
Images that have been recorded in various forms are essential data capturing sources (Greene et al, 2017). Some of these sources include pictures, stored clips, and videos which is the preferred data acquiring points that have been in use. This rationale provides well-elaborated information to the evaluator since well-represented data in form of images and videos that a good example of well-processed data that can be used in making the final resolution in management. However, other means of collecting data depend on the source and individuals that are being involved in their disposition and capacity to provide information (Boulmetis et al, 2016). Actual situations are preferred as they can give accountancy of the real experiences in the entire program and the reason behind occurrences.

Your manager was impressed with the quantitative data collection plan that you initiated over a year ago and has now asked you to delve more deeply into how to motivate employee performance. Now, your questions become those of how and why? To understand more about how to motivate your staff members, you determine that a qualitative methodology will be the best approach. What are appropriate sources of data for this type of research? Describe how you would document and organize your qualitative data for future analyses? Using the research literature, justify why this would be the best approach for data collection.

Alicia - To understand more about how to motivate staff I think the best qualitative methods to use would be observations, case studies, and one-on-one interviews. Collecting data to understand staff motivation should come directly from the experiences of the staff themselves. The appropriate sources of data collection would be direct focus groups, case studies, and one-to-one interviews. What makes the research reliable is that the responses and feedback are given directly from the employees, which becomes a conglomerate piece of unbiased and authentic feedback, while still originating from staff members as individuals. A narrative inquiry could be used to delve deeper into employee performance. Staff motivation is important to explore and build upon because staff members are a valuable part of any organization. Greenberger, Maul, Walker, McClendon (2021) wrote that qualitative design focuses on storytelling through the lens of participant perspectives. this is crucial to the data collection aspect because the focus question is, "How are staff members motivated and why are staff members motivated?"

Having an understanding of the research design process and what steps are critical will ensure that time, energy, and money are utilized in the correct space, and that the research that is being conducted is done so with the greatest possible outcome. Schoonenboom & Johnson, (2017), detail how to conduct a mixed method research study, while keeping an emphasis on quality and validity (p. 107). They focus on the seven major dimensions to make a research study successful; “: purpose, theoretical drive, timing (simultaneity and dependency), point of integration, typological versus interactive design approaches, planned versus emergent design, and design complexity” (Schoonenboom & Johnson, 2017, p. 107).
When evaluating the Ohio Lottery and the research design utilized, it can be seen that the design follows a well-defined research process, such as the one that is laid out by Schindler (2021, p. 30). The firs step was to clarify the research question. In this case study, the question is what is causing the decline in sales of Ohio lottery tickets? To help design the research, the Ohio lottery enlisted the expertise of Marcus Thomas LLC. For the collect and prepare steps, interviews were conducted across different population samples. From there the research companies analyzed and interpreted the data then reported the results and recommendations.
The disadvantage of the design utilized is the length of time that participants were in interviews. Schindler (2021), stated that each of the interviews were approximately 90 minutes long. That is a long period of time to try and keep the attention of a participant.

The metaphor elicitation technique, or MET is a powerful technique that utilizes image recognition and association to determine the mental model that people have of a certain topic (Kokko & Lagerkvist, 2016, p. 205). In this context “Mental models are defined as cognitive structures that influence consumer behavior (Kokko & Lagerkvist, 2016, p. 205).
For the Ohio Lottery case study, implementing the MET process gave them a deeper understanding of the mental model that all four groups of players (or non-players) had in regards to the lottery. The strength behind this is that information could be utilized to change the consumer perception, in a more positive manner, with the hopes of attracting new players. The weakness of this technique is that it requires participants to conduct some work prior to the interviews, and spend more of their time assisting.

- 1. Research Instrument The heart of any survey research project is the survey questionnaire itself (Chiang ,2015). A self-constructed survey questionnaire will be design and organize for the purpose of gathering data. The first part of the survey questionnaire includes background information about the respondents subdivided into name, birthday, grade level and nationality. On the other hand, Part II and III entail questions on the acceptability and plausibility of the proposed business plan. A five-point Likert scale will be employed to gather responses for Part II and III of the survey question. A Likert Scale asks how much a person agrees or disagrees with a particular statement or question. Likert scales provide a convenient way to measure unobservable constructs, and published tutorials detailing the process of their development have been highly influential. (Baumeister et al., 2007; Clark and Watson, 2019)
