This document summarizes a research initiative in Costa Rica that aims to promote sustainable coffee farming practices. The initiative works with coffee farmers in the Tarrazú region who are certified under various sustainability standards. Through field research, training programs, and collaboration with farmers, the initiative's goals are to increase sustainable management of coffee plantations and vulnerable areas, and improve understanding of how farming practices impact coffee production, quality, and the environment. Key activities include soil sampling and analysis, experimental plots to test practices, workshops and meetings with farmers, and tasting activities to connect farming methods with coffee quality.
