While researching a photoessay on the first decade of the 21st century, Tarsem discovers a photograph of Rubina, a former university friend now working as a campaigner. Unable to comfort his wife who has just recovered from her second miscarriage, and cope with the spectre of restructure and redundancy at his office, he contacts her. In reconnecting he faces the prejudices of his youth. Tarsem is Sikh, Rubina is Muslim. And the last ten years have seen them follow opposing paths shaded by events beyond their control. Encouraged by her, Tarsem travels to India with his parents unaware of the impact it will have on all their lives.

Cedric Diggory is in 6th year. (This is the year before the Triwizard tournement.) He though that this was going to be a good year: he was quidditch captain, prefect and got all O's in his O.W.L.s.
Jade Potter is just dealing with life and thinks that her cousin Harry will go through some crazy adventure this year. Being a third year is never easy, especially when your godfather is a werewolf and is the current Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, or when everyone realized that your cousin Jasper's last name was Black and his father is THe Sirius Black, not to mention that her dad bought her a Firlbolt which she was likely to never use. Oh! Did i forget to mention that she's been dared to seduce Cedric Diggory by her wonderful friends in Gryffindor?

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

2. Short film competition
http://cornwallfilmfestival.com/2016-short-film-competition/
These are the requirements I would have to meet for this film festival. These details are from their 2016 film
festival and I would be entering for the 2017 when the information would come out.
1. All submitted films should be no more than 12 months old by November 2016.
2. Please ensure that the digital video file you’re entering is the highest quality copy of your film. All work should
be summited through the online platform, no work will be considered if not summited via this platform.
3. CFF regards a short film as 20 minutes or under and a feature film as 20 minutes or over. Feature films will not
be considered in the competition.
4. CFF is particularly interested in new work but films do not need to be UK premieres.
5. Films that have previously been publicly screened, broadcast or otherwise made publicly available (including
online) in Britain will be considered. We will accept Short animation films that have had public theatrical
screenings.
6. Films that are available to purchase on online are not eligible. This includes DVD/Blu-ray/VHS formats.
7.Promotional films are eligible (e.g. films promoting tourism, charitable appeals, see the categories).
8. Cornwall Film Festival does not have the facility to apply refunds waivers must be sought before the films have
been submitted.
9. A separate entry form and additional entry fee is required for each film submission.
4. Example of good use
Good use of scene direction:
Why I think this is a good use of scene direction is
because when reading through the script the first few times
it shows one how the actor will have to portray Tony.
Secondly, how you only get to see glimpses of him through
the cars passing because this also covers up what he
would be saying to the person on the other end of the
phone.
This shows a lot although only a little is said by the way
the actor will act. From reading that scene direction gives
a sense of anger because Tony is ‘gesturing violently’.
Good character development: This shows good inner
presence as Tony obliviously loses himself in the football
he then realises he isn’t holding Oliver’s hand any more.
This also shows that Tony and Oliver’s clothes are
still wet and they have not been bothered to dry off. Oliver
is also wearing a small bag. This explain the outer present.
The context for this part is they are awaiting in line to get
in the football match and there is loads of cheering from
the crowds.

5. Examples of good use
Good use of dialogue: I like the use of dialogue here as
and the character Tish is telling Martha to look at the rain
and Martha is talking about her daily life and telling Tish
the plans. Martha here doesn’t get the fuss about the rain
as it is just rain but Tish and Julia keeps staying the rain
is going up.
When reading then watching it in the episode You can
get the feeling of what they are saying.

6. Ten minute short analysis
https://youtu.be/k_d2Vxc6No8 - Text me
Act 1: The main protagonists Noah sitting at the restaurant waiting for his date Jamie. He checks his wallet to see
how is will pay for meal as he looked at the prices on the menu. She arrived about 1-2 hours later and he gets up
to assist her when she is taking her seat.
Act 2: From this point there is an awkward atmosphere between them. Noah asked about a group that Jamie is in
to find out a bit more about her. They are both texting their friend about the date and how it is going. They order
food and she texts here mum to come and save her. While they are waiting for the food and her contact lens falls
out and they look for it on the floor, they cant find it so she puts her glasses on. They sit back down and he says
he has written a song for her and she listens to and she likes.
Act 3:Their food arrives and they start eating then she receives a text that he mum is outside. She apologies that
she has to go, he looks quite upset that she has had to leave. Then he has to wash up to pay for the food as he
is doing this he gets a text from Jamie that she wants to meet up to go to the movies.
There was a clear story all the way through. It is well written. The theme within was quite cliché.
The character development show the main protagonists slowly winning this girl over.
7. Ten minute short analysis
https://youtu.be/d91B0uK4GK4 - Penned
Act 1: We start at the main protagonists waking up late and having to rush to get ready an exam. On his walls you can see he clearly likes to draw and is
probably an art student. He runs to his bus and gets on at the back of the bus there is a girl in a striped jumper holding a big black container. He gets to his
exam and sit down at his desk and starts to write on his exam paper and his pen runs out. Someone in a black hoodie behind him hand him a fountain pen and
continues on with the exam.
Act 2: The exam finished and he starts drawing one of the chairs and the exam paper gets taken away as it needs to be marked. He exits the exam hall then
later goes back to see if the person who gave him the pen to give it back. He then go to the library and sits and read a news paper and gets his sketch pad out
and draws. We then see him sitting at a bench and draws a bird and it flies away. Then we see him in his class and he draws someone his class. He then
goes home he feeds his pet cat and start drawing is cat.
Act 3: He wake up the next morning and his cat isn’t moving he goes over to his drawing that he did and then he calls the vet and tell him that his cat isn’t
moving . He goes back to all of the people he drew and realises that they have all been frozen. Then goes to see if he can find the student that gave him the
pen and everyone he asks say there is no student of that name. He draws a picture of a can he sits to rips the page out and crumples the paper up which
crushes the can. He gets on the bus and puts all of the drawings that he has done out of the window. He tries to destroy the pen but doesn’t work. We see him
sitting at the park bench and the girl in the striped jumper is on the swings. He takes a picture of his self starts to draw it. The girl in the striped jumper walks
over to him with her black container and takes the drawing off of him and puts it in her container , then he freezes in time. Here it also see the person who
handed him the pen in the exam and he comes to collect his pen.
During penned you also see the chair that he had drew in the exam hall not moved from the point it was sitting and when his drawings hit the water all of the
people and his cat that he has drew become unfrozen.
I do think this is a strong story and flows nicely. You see a development of the main protagonists and him realising what he had done was quite bad.
9. Research for theme
My theme is bullying.
Places people can go/ call are: Child Line, NSPPC, Bully Watch.
In some cases of bullying can end up with the victim seriously hurting them selves or attempting suicide.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-suffolk-37186184 This story is on case of a 12 year old boy called Matthew.
It has been said that disabled children are more likely to be bullied. (I know in my story Maya's dad is disabled but later on
Catherine who is the bully ends up in a wheel chair.) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-27902500
http://www.anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk/media/7443/disabled-young-peoples-views-on-cyberbullying-report.pdf This PFD
goes through some of the ways that either face to face or cyberbully happens from young people. It also quotes what young
people have experienced.
10. Research of existing media
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ovR3FF_6us – Exposed. This is a short on cyberbullying about some photos a girl
took of herself and sent them to her boyfriend which then he sent to his best mate then the mate put online.
http://www.channel4.com/programmes/cyberbully/on-demand/58485-001 Cyber bully. This film shows a cyber bully trying to
get in a girls head to try her make do stuff she doesn’t want to do and this person is also been stalking the girl online and
