2. Double page spread
The representations of this magazine is that the gender is male which slightly draws me to
the fact that this magazine would be male orientated again because most of the rap
magazines have male artist as there are hardly any female rap artist bar a few, this draws
me to the representation of age I think that this magazine is targeted at a teenage audience
but mostly aimed at males as they have the most in common with the artist. This image of
the man is represented as quite suave and makes him look a lot more posh than most other
artist do because he is dressed up which makes me think that he’s a celebrity and it would
make other people want to dress like him, this would happen because he looks fairly cool
and many people would be attracted to look as smart as him this is stereotypical for a rap
magazine cover because most of the images are of rap artists who have dressed up. The
man in the image is represented as the life of the party which makes the audience excited,
he’s holding alcohol which draws me to the fact that the man is older than he looks. The
glasses make himseem as mysterious which makes the audience intrigued into who this
man is. The props that are represented in this image are basically creating the party kind of
feel for the audience which is very different than their normal lives, so this magazine makes
me feel like it’s helping them get away from their standard lives for a little while.
