   The protagonist and her mother are both
      represented as Under Class citizens
Whereas the male protagonist is represented as a
             Middle Class citizen.

    The mother is represented as aggressive, lazy,
    rude and quite masculine.

    The audience is shown this from the tone that
    the mother uses when she is talking to Taylor.

    The female protagonist is represented as
    young, feminine, vulnerable, scared, lonely,
    isolated and misunderstood.

    The audience is shown this as in al of the
    scenes where Taylor is walking away, she is
    alone and the only person in the frame

    Sam is represented as young, middle class,
    confident, caring, protective and polite.

    The audience sees this from Sam's caring
    action of holding Taylor's hand and helping her
    up

    As well as this, Sam is polite when he speaks
    to Taylor, unlike Taylor's mother. This shows
    the audience that Sam is caring.
