What is a Report?

or of any matter on which definite information is
required”. (Oxford English Dictionary)
 Reports are a highly structured form of writing.
 These are carefully compiled from data available to the
writer and is directed towards achieving a specific
purpose.
 A mean to convey some information to others.
 An organized, factual, objective presentation of
information.
