• ITPS and IPCC organized the Global Soil Organic Carbon Symposium in 2017

• ITPS co-chaired and contributed to the Land Degradation and Restoration
Assessment finally released in 2018
UNCCD-SPI
• Together we established the Global Soil Organic Carbon map (SDG 15.3 Sub-
Indicator)
• ITPS contributed to the Global Soil Erosion Assessment
• A close collaboration was agreed at COP 13

• ITPS is ‘formal observer’ in the 4pour1000 Committee for Science and
Technology
Global Soil Biodiversity Initiative
• ITPS participated in the 2nd GSB Conference and supports the further
development of a Global Soil Biodiversity Assessment (GSBA)
