Dr. Charles Levinson bought Owdeswell Manor in Gloucestershire and sought to make it more sustainable by installing renewable energy sources, planting woodland, and rearing traditional livestock. He installed a 10kW solar PV system that will provide a 20% annual return on investment from electricity cost savings and government subsidies. Dr. Levinson also plans to install a biomass boiler to heat the manor with wood pellets and earn subsidies under the Renewable Heat Incentive. Renewable energy investments not only reduce costs but add value to the property for future generations.
