This document provides instructions for an activity to learn about the events of September 11, 2001 through studying photographs from that day. The objectives are to learn what happened on 9/11, understand the power of photojournalism in documenting history, and how communities can overcome fear by supporting one another in times of crisis or tragedy. Students are directed to carefully study photos from 9/11 and answer questions to reflect on and learn from the images and events. Context is provided about the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.
