Letter of Reference for Alexi Callaway
It is a pleasure to provide a letter of recommendation for Alexi Callaway who will be graduating
from the Undergraduate Program in Health Administration at Central Michigan University. As
the director for the Health Administration Division I get to know many of the students and their
work. Ms. Callaway has been an excellent student academically and an exceptional leader. I
anticipate that she will be quite successful in pursuing a career in the field and eventually in
earning her graduate degree in the field.
Alexi was a research assistant on one of my grants and was instrumental in the success of the
project. As part of the contract she was responsible for conducting on-site interviews with a
number of service agencies in the region gathering information on how the intake process
worked, what data is collected, and other treatment information. She then converted that
information into a matrix so that we could use it in analyzing the intake systemwithin the
county. This was an integral part of the contract and was well received by the participants. She
also assisted in running several of the groups during the project. Such experiences for
Undergraduates ensures they are well prepared when they enter the workforce.
Besides her academic successes, Ms Callaway has been active in student organizations including
the CHAPS organization which represents Health Administration students on campus. She is
currently doing her administrative internship with Denver Health in Denver, Colorado
concentrating on healthcare quality projects.
