1. Refection on the Graduation Project
The refection’s I have from the graduation project include challenges and
overcoming them, working with my mentor, and creating an auto shop safety guide. One of
the challenges I encountered while doing the research was when I broke my leg and wasn’t
able to do any research, I’ve overcame this by returning to school and doing the research
there. For the product I created a guide on automotive shop safety. This guide contained
the general safety rules, electrical safety regulations and shop safety. When doing the
product, a problem I had was finding time to do the product while simultaneously
completing my makeup work. I had makeup work due to an injury that required multiple
surgical procedures and required my absence from school. I overcame this challenge
when I finished all my makeup work. I then devoted all my time to the product. I’ve
learned how not to procrastinate. When I returned to school from my injury, I only had a
little time to start over and redo the project from scratch. I had to start over because I
temporarily did not have the ability to demonstrate auto shop safety procedures as I had
originally planned. I collaborated with my mentor in the brainstorming process, putting
together the power point, preparing for the speech, and creating the auto safety guide for
the project. My mentor is Mr. Minter.For my product, I created an auto shop safety guild
that giver the reader general knowledge on how to keep themselves safe when in auto
shop. The safety rules contained in the guide have been prepared to protect you in an auto
shop.
