The recreation leader position plans, promotes, and coordinates activities for all community members while ensuring participant safety. Key responsibilities include planning and conducting recreational activities for people of all ages, preparing and maintaining facilities, advertising upcoming events, monitoring events, providing first aid when needed, and completing incident reports. The recreation leader is also responsible for ordering equipment, registering participants, training staff, and performing various clerical duties.

• Plan and conduct recreational activities for community members of all ages.
• Prepare facility (fields, rooms, etc.) for planned events.
• Ensure facility is maintained and safety procedures are followed.
• Advertise upcoming events.
• Monitor recreational events.
• Order and maintain sporting equipment (balls, bats, exercise equipment, etc.).
• Perform clerical duties, including registering participants and answering event inquiries.
• Train staff to conduct events and safety procedures.
• Coordinate resuscitation and first aid classes; provide first aid when necessary during events.
• Complete reports for injury, accidents and other incidents.
• All other duties as assigned.
