Digital portfolios allow students to celebrate, reflect on, and set goals for their learning. They can be used for assessment of learning, assessment for learning, and assessment as learning. When creating a digital portfolio, the purpose, intended audience, and content should be considered. Digital portfolios offer benefits over traditional paper portfolios like including new types of content, reaching new audiences, and allowing for flexible timelines. A number of applications can be used to easily create digital portfolios, including Evernote, Kustom Note, Book Creator, and Creative Book Builder. Digital portfolios can be blended with traditional portfolios.
