Alex worked as an English as a Second Language Teacher at MeySen Academy in Sendai, Japan for four years. While not his direct supervisor, the vice-principal observed that Alex built strong rapport with colleagues and students, was a strong team player who contributed to a positive work environment, and kept an organized desk. Alex also demonstrated a genuine love for Jesus and responded well to feedback with openness and humility. The vice-principal highly recommends Alex without reservation.

To whom it may concern:
I am writing this letter of recommendation for Alex Shute. Alex worked for MeySen Academy
located in Sendai, Japan for four years, from February of 2011 until March of 2015, where I serve as
Vice-Principal of our English Department. MeySen Academy has several advanced after-school ESL
programs for elementary school students, in which Alex worked as an English as a Second Language
Teacher.
While I did not directly supervise Alex,I know that his supervisors valued the rapport he builtwith
his colleagues and students. Alex was a strong team player during his time with us, and contributed
greatly to creating a positive work environment both in the office and the classroom.
Although my observation of our teaching staff is a step removed from that of a supervisor, there are
little things you pick up on that say a lot about an individual. For example,I noticed that Alex’sdesk
was the cleanest and most organized in his office. That speaks to me of someone who is on top of
his work, and his feedback from his supervisors confirmed as much.
Alex has a genuine love for Jesus, something that we here at MeySen highly value as part of our
work culture. When you have someone who is committed to followingChrist, you can talk to them
about almost anything and they will respond well. Alex always responded strongly to the feedback
he was given, with openness and humility.
In summary, Alex was a tremendous positive contributor to his team and to our program, and I am
confident he will be so to your organization. I recommend Alex to you without reservation.
Sincerely,
Nathan Broman
