PERSONAL STATEMENT: I am DR. Agniva Misra. I completed my secondary education in
2002 from Balyagobindapur Jnan Karma Vidyapith. Thereafter I joined Scottish Church Collegiate
School & completed my Higher Secondary Education in 2005. I got interest in chemistry & biology &
their integrated approach to solve human problems from that time. In 2005, I got chance in Bengal
Engineering & Science University, Shibpur(Electronics & Telecommunication Department, WBJEE-
Engineering rank-244),Calcutta National Medical College(WBJEE-Medical Rank-232), National Institute
of Technology(Durgapur Branch, through AIEEE-All India Rank-11106,state rank-155). I thought to do
both Engineering & Medical Education. So In 2005, I joined MBBS course in Calcutta National Medical
College & passed MBBS in 2010,completed my Internship in 2011 & Housestaffship in 2012. In 2012,
I joined Master of Med Sc & Technology(MMST) course in IIT-Kharagpur through a special GATE
examination(All India Rank-8).Then I got interest in medical imaging, biomaterials, digital image
processing, advanced biomaterials, medical instrumentation, molecular imaging, nuclear imaging etc.
After completing my coursework, in my final year project, I worked on clinicoepidemiology of cervical
diseases, smear processing & Image Analysis of cervical smear through cytomorphometry. My future
plan is to work on clinical research, medical instrument making (ECG,EEG,EMG,EOG, defibrillator,
pacemaker,plethysmography,spirometer etc.) and signal processing, Medical imaging and image
processing.
