The eagle must undergo a difficult process of change to extend its lifespan beyond 40 years. It flies to a mountain top and knocks its beak against a rock to remove it, then waits for a new beak to grow. It repeats this process to remove its talons and old feathers. After five months of regeneration, the eagle is reborn and able to live another 30 years. Similarly, people sometimes need to change old habits and traditions in order to survive and make the most of the present.
