Do What Makes You Uncomfortable
When you take risks, you stretch yourself in surprising new ways. This is a powerful feeling. Why? It takes confidence to step outside your comfort zone. Trying something new forces you to act with confidence, whether you started out feeling it or not.
Find Your Purpose
Knowing what you’re destined to do is a fantastic feeling and fills a person with confidence. If you’re unsure why you’ve set a particular goal, or are questioning what you’re doing, you’re not likely to feel confident at all. Solidifying the goal in your mind is a rapid boost to confidence then.
Keep Trying
It’s normal to experience failure from time to time. This kind of disaster can easily destroy confidence. You regain this confidence when you get up and try again.
Learn Things
Knowledge truly is power. When you really understand something inside out, you tend to be very confident (at least in that area). Continually learning new things expands your knowledge base. As a result, your confidence extends in new directions as well.
Drop the Idea Things Have to be Perfect
When nothing is ever good enough, confidence falters. How are you supposed to feel sure of yourself when you’re feeling things are always unfinished or lacking somehow? By accepting things as they are, warts and all, you’ll find you’re relax more and even become more confident in what you’re doing because you’re telling yourself that what you have or are doing is exactly what you need.
Dress for Success
How we present ourselves to the world really can affect our mental state. Wearing what makes you feel good about yourself will restore confidence. A change in attitude is only a change in outfit away.
Trust Yourself
When you doubt your instincts, you’re telling yourself you don’t really know what you’re doing. This is why it’s so important to ‘go with your gut’ when faced with a challenge. This kind of trust instills confidence in your ability to judge a situation or outcome.
Look Forward
Confidence has a hard time standing up to ghosts from the past. When you get caught up in your previous failures or uncertainties, confidence falters. Instead, look forward to positive emotions. When you recognize your potential, you start seeing just how amazing you are.
Self-confidence is something we all crave for at one point or the other. Self-confidence can mean the difference between enjoying life and being afraid. Not all of the factors that contribute to self-confidence are under your direct control. But enough of them are to make a huge difference. You can develop the habits and skills that make self-confidence automatic by following this powerful and effective 8 steps to greater self-confidence.

Don’t forget the preparation
Never ever think of giving up. Winners never quit and quitters never win. Take all negative words out of your mental dictionary and focus on the solutions with utmost conviction and patience. The battle is never lost until you’ve abandon your vision.
But what if you’re really exhausted physically, mentally, and most of all emotionally? Here are some sources of motivation to prompt you in reaching the peak of accomplishment.
Hard work
Success needs hard work. Don’t listen to these ‘get rich quick’ schemes. You need to build your character and work hard on yourself and your business to achieve greatness. Work hard and work smart. Do the right things and do them in the right way. Don’t procrastinate. Take bold actions. Work long hours and craft your legacy.
Learning from failure
Successful people do not see failures as failures. They see them as important learning lessons. Lessons that are capable of giving them insights to prevent such mistakes from happening again. By adopting this mindset of turning each failure into a learning lesson or opportunity, you can never fail until you yourself quit.
You should be able to find several indispensable facts about motivation in the following paragraphs. If there’s at least one fact you didn’t know before, imagine the difference it might make. It’s so difficult to go on when everything seems to fail, isn’t it? Failure occurs when you stretch / grow yourself, because you are out of
your comfort level. If you’re not failing, you’re likely not stretching.
Explicitly track (and record) your rate of personal failures. Ensure 1 meaty screw up
per quarter, or force yourself to move into personally uncharted waters.
3. REASON 2
Fail regularly so that you
continue to be surprised
Surprise is a key to innovation because it reveals opportunities. It also
stores valuable Return on Investment if you learn from it.
Seek out Failure and aggressively run retrospectives (post mortems). Celebrate what
you learn positively, widely, and publicly.
4. REASON 3
Fail regularly to keep an open
mind
We are biologically predisposed to calcify assumptions & shy from
cognitive dissonance. Shake things up before they can’t be dislodged.
Compose a list of 10 things that you believed 15 years ago, which you now know are
false, or at least, not quite right. Remember how sure you were.
5. REASON 4
Fail regularly so that you
remind the ego to stay
humble
The greatest danger of confidence is over confidence
Find and listen to the album “Nothing’s Shocking” by Jane’s Addiction. It has nothing to
do with this topic. It’s just a fraking good album.
6. REASON 5
Fail regularly so that you build
empathy for others who fail
Most people fear failure because of how they think others will see
them. It is peer pressure which makes us avoid what is innately good for
us.
Look around for someone who is currently failing and give them a shoulder to lean on.
No questions asked. No judgements made.
7. REASON 6
Fail regularly so that you build
confidence in your resilience
One of the reasons that it was so hard to shave my head bald for the
Children’s Cancer Foundation Hair for Hope program was the worry that
it wouldn’t come back. It did.
Compose a list of 3 big mistakes you’ve made in your life thus far. Appreciate that you
got through them and that they are not nearly so dire years later.
8. REASON 7
Fail regularly to build practical

failure rather than before. Identify 1 thing to improve with recovery next round.

Fail regularly so that failure
becomes less scary &
embarrassing
Once you train your brain to see failure as an opportunity, it will
become one
Find someone who has failed (and who may feel privately ashamed) and let them know
personally that it’s no big deal.
