Motherson Sumi Electric Wires is the branch of ‘Motherson Sumi
System ltd.' The Company is working with the collaboration of
‘Motherson' and “Sumitomo Wiring System” of Japan. Company is
manufacturing “Auto wire” of different grade according to the standards
given by the customer. Major customers are Maruti, Honda Siel, Toyota,
and JCB etc. The company is certified with ISO 14001 - 2004 (EMS), TS -
16949, Pika-Pika with 95.2% score. Company work on JIS, JASO and
DIN standard. Company annual turnover of Rs 3500 million.
JOB PROFILE
Engineer – Production
Worked to achieve targets for the dedicated product lines on daily basis.
The machines are broadly classified into four types: Rod Break Down,
Multi Wire Drawing, Bunching, Extrusion, Nps.
 Major activities include handling for raw material and finished good
stock (on FIFO basis) needed for production, proper scheduling in
order to satisfy the customer’s demand.
Role:
 To meet the customers delivery schedules by ensuring the timely
achievement of production targets at each machine station.
 Proven abilities in enhancing production process operations,
optimizing resource and capacity utilization, escalating productivity
& operational efficiencies as per the quality standards.
 Supervised workforce on the shop floor ensuring optimum
utilization and maximization of productivity.
 Member of QC TEAM
 To coordinate with Quality department for root cause analysis and
summit CAR. And CAPA.
 Daily monitoring of Machines for condition and process parameters,
taking action in case of noncompliance.
 Ensured that all improvements actions are implemented in all
plants, providing technical help & support after root cause analysis
of major problems.
 Analyzing the daily rejections and initiating the required corrections
action to reduce the rejections.
 Conducted audits ISO 9001,TS 16949, PIKA- PIKA & safety audits
for shop floor.
 Process standardization & adhering to process standards at par with
Control Plan, MCS, SOP & OPSs
 Shop floor management.
 Implementing POKA YOKE and KAIZEN in process.
 Shop floor management and 6S, 6R, KYT, RISK ANALYSIS,
DAILY PETROLING, MOCK DRILL, NEAR MISS.
 Training operators to operate on their workstations on the line and
giving them instructions about Safety measures.
 Maintain and improve Safety environment of plant.
ACHIVEMENTS
 Participated PK audit as a coordinator and achieved 99.0% which is
highest across globe.
 Achieved 0.95% CU scrap and 3.20% PVC scrap.
 Participated Safety Audit and achieve 83% in SWS Safety audit.
 Achieved 75% utilization and 98% efficiency of all machines
 Achieved second ranked in Bench Mark for wire divisions
