1) Formed in Bakersfield California in 1993, Korn successfully earned two
Grammy Awards for their hits "Here to Stay" and "Freak on a Leash."

2) With a hard hitting mixture of alternative metal, rap metal, nu metal, and
rapcore, Limp Bizkit has taken the world by storm while obtaining various musical
lovers from other genres such as rock, metal, and rap. To this day, they continue to
reap the rewards of success by performing at shows such as Buzzfest, 98 Rock
Fest, EdgeFest 20, and Beale Street Music, and have even gone on to appear on Jay
Leno's The Tonight Show.

3) Having had a large influence upon the nu metal genre of the 1990's, Rage
Against the Machine has gone on to become one of the most controversial and
influential bands in the history of music. After the band's initial break-up in 2000,
the cover album Renegades was released. The lead singer started his solo career,
leaving the rest of the members to form Audioslave.

4) Kid Rock's five Grammy Awards nominations to his credit are one of many of
his successes. Some of this popular songs are "Cowboy," "Only God Knows Why,"
and "American Bad Ass." A mixture of country, rap, and southern rock,
"Cowboy," became a huge success and made the Top 40.

5) Linkin Park's international fame was their reward when they unleashed their
album, Hybrid Theory upon the world. In September, 2010 the album A Thousand
Suns was released adding to the band's many successes. Fifty million albums and
two Grammy Awards later, Linkin Park continues to successfully hold the
attention of their fans around the world.

6) 311's tenth album, Universal Pulse is scheduled for release July 19, 2011. From
August 4th - 6th, 311 will host their first "Pow Wow" Festival in North Florida,
featuring The Deftones, Sublime, Rome, and The Dirty Heads.

7) The name, Papa Roach was the nickname of Jacoby's step-grandfather, Howard
William Roatch, who unfortunately took his own life in 1996. During live
performances, the band often dedicates the song "Roses On My Grave," to
Howard. Currently, rap is no longer a part of Papa Roach's talents, as the lead
singer prefers to be strictly a rocker. Their album, Metamorphosis was a major
turning point for them and highlights their musical transformation.
8) Kottonmouth Kings are a rap-rock group who predominately associate
themselves with the psychedelic hip-hop, and punk rock genres. Popularity struck
once their song, "Suburban Life," appeared on the Scream 2 soundtrack.
Mainstream success later followed when High Society, their third album was
released in 2000. Headlined at Cannabis Cup, they were dubbed "Band of the
Year."

9) Christian faith is the governing factor of the band, P.O.D. With seven albums
under their belt, they managed to sell over 10 million records worldwide, toured
internationally, and received three Grammy Award nominations. Today, P.O.D.'s
sound has evolved from their early rap metal sound to the sound of Reggae infused
alternative metal. They now are most known for this style.
