Pop music became popular in the 1960s-1970s with artists like ABBA, The Jackson 5, and Roy Orbison. Michael Jackson further popularized pop music with his solo career after leaving The Jackson 5. Now there are many pop singers and bands with a large fanbase. Some notable pop artists mentioned are Bruno Mars, who began his career with his album "Doo-Wops and Hooligans," Enrique Iglesias, who has won 16 Billboard Music Awards, and Slim Dusty, known as Australia's "King of Country" music who released over 100 albums in his career before his death in 2003.

2. Pop music is a kind of music where people sing and sometimes they maybe shout in Pop music. The instruments in Pop music include the guitar and drums. I like Pop music because I like the sound of the music, the style of it, the speed of the music, the topics that it’s about and the instruments that are used. Pop Music is my favourite genre and I would recommend it for music fans. I have always listened to Pop and I would listen to it. For example I think Supreme by Robbie Williams is a pop song. Then after that he made song great songs including A Pub with No Beer, G’day G’day and Looking Forward Looking Back. He was working on his 106 th album when he died in 2003. He also had his own movie on him. You are a Aussie hero Slim!!!!
