This improved packing speed and reduced employee strain by providing voidfill directly at packing. Damage rates decreased significantly with the new solution.
Customer case Merit Medical
Merit Medical, a medical device manufacturer, was experiencing decreased packaging efficiency as the number of daily shipments increased. Previously, airbags produced away from packing tables were used to fill empty spaces, but a more optimized solution was needed. Ranpak implemented an integrated packing system with on-demand paper shoots and table-mounted cutters to maximize floor space. The new setup increased packing speeds and decreased packaging time per box. Merit Medical's logistics supervisor reported that the damage rate has now almost reached zero with Ranpak's solution.
